Is the new group finder already bugged or just nobody using it?

On PCEU there is only a minimal amount of listings:
- 0 normal and 1 veteran dungeon
- 0 normal and 0 veteran arena
- 1 normal and 5 veteran trial (but of that 5 one is a carry run service advertisement)

Is this really the amount of people interested in group content on the whole PCEU or this thing is already bugged and does not show all listings?

I was wondering the same thing. The only post in the arena section (both normal and vet) is some guy selling BRP carry runs.
In the trial section, another player now tries to sell trial gear. Next to only one other trial group for vHRC. - Divines, I hope it's just bugged.

Aren't most players who group doing so with their guilds and/or friends? I certainly don't think you can conflate the number of entries in a group finder with "the amount of people interested in group content on the whole PCEU".

Also, Endless Archive launched today so I dare say a lot of players are trying that out, and it can't be done in a group. I suspect that will turn out to be a 7 day wonder, however, so you may find an increase in grouping and the use of the group finder before long.

The Endless Archives have their one section in the group finder tool for people to find a partner for duo runs, though.

It'd being used as a Red Light district classified Ad right now, people looking for E-hookups or free gold.hopefully once they tire out/gets cleaned up by Zos so there's not a ton of trash to look through it'll get better.

Is there a tutorial to bring attention to players the new group finder?

With it taking 10 years for them to release a group finder most people are probably just use to finding groups other ways and grouping with guild mates.

No one's using it and honestly I doubt it'll catch on either. Don't forget, it isn't the first time ZOS implemented a system like the new group finder and last time it didn't exactly pan out very well either.

I suppose the upside to it is that when it is used, it's pretty much for trolling and someone selling trial runs. Let's just say that I don't see Craglorn zone chat being abandoned any time soon.

So for the EU at least, the servers only really went up at 1800 and that's on a Monday evening, in addition to the Witches Festival still ongoing and the launch of the Endless Archive content, so maybe and this is a HUGE guess here, you know, and maybe I am wrong and all that, but might it possibly be due to the fact that folks were just too busy to utilize the new random group up system this evening... ?

Of course, I may be wrong.

Remember that only a small portion of the players are on the forums / know what's going on with patch notes /etc. There should really be some information provided in-game about the new group finder. Of course there may be other issues causing low utilization, but I bet a fair number of people don't even know it exists!

some people probably don't even know it exists yet because they don't read about updates.
and others just make groups with friends/guild members.

1 it's a Monday. Some of us are still working.
2 Some of us are still downloading the update
3 Some of us are still waiting for addon updates
4 Some of us are doing master writs for new stations
5 Some of us are cramming event stuff because of maintenance.

On PCEU at around 19:30 on 30th Oct, I was using the new GF to look for Dungeons, Arena and Trial runs and I was able to get into a nHRC run without problems .

What I can tell so far are the following things:

• the GF is working (at least it did so for me )
• Trial runs were listed but most are fast filled up and some take a while, because tanks are missing (same problem with building a group through Zone-Chat)
• only one Arena run was listed
• only 3-4 *special* Dungeons runs were listed (eg. fast FG1 for Event-Skull or Farm item "x" Dungeon run)
• most people are still using the classic locations like Craglorn to ask for groups and form them through Zone-Chat
• for general Dungeon runs most people are still using the random Dungeon Finder (because of the reward(s))

To be honest I doubt most people even know it's there given the fact that there's a disturbingly large number of players that arn't even aware that patchnotes exsist

Another thing to consider is that the group tool only shows groups that haven't filled up yet. It won't (and shouldn't) should you all the groups that were started, filled and are now doing whatever activity they were set up for because that's not relevant information for people looking for a group to join.

I see this a lot with grouping tools in other games. At first glance it looks like a category is full of sellers because there's 3 or 4 of them and 1 actual group, but if you sit and watch it for a while you'll see that one genuine group fill and disappear from the list, get replaced with another one which fills up and disappears, then another, while the sellers sit there being ignored (or possibly passing anyone who contacts them on to a second person who actually does the runs?), so they're always in the listing but that doesn't mean they're more popular. If anything it's the opposite.

That's definitely my situation. The servers came back online in the evening (hours after they were supposed to, but that's pretty much expected at this point) and I had a lot of other stuff I had to do after work, so I only had time to log in for a few Witches Festival bits, then logged out again. I looked at the group tool, but didn't get to use it because I didn't have time to do anything in a group.
