How long does it take to get the “veteran” trophy for houses?

Personally I think about approximately 2 hours per run.

After that it's time for a hopefully well-deserved break.

i believe it depends on the day as some days i play eso for only a few hours and sometimes it's like half a day.

Doesn't hold much interest for me, but I'll try arc 1 and see what I think.

I don't have the sort of time necessary to continue on much farther beyond that if we can't save our progress, so I expect I'll get bored of it after a couple runs.

I will check out Arc 1 to see what it's like but not a fan of how they set it up to run. Was hoping for an endless Delve-type thing.

Unless the Sorc class set is significantly improved, I'm going to do the bare minimum to get the other rewards. But any interest I had in this content was really killed by ZOS's neglect for my main class.

Arc 1 is the furthest I am willing to go and that's it. I am not gonna waste my time much. And only arc bosses drop class sets, am I right?

I've only just realised that your progress isn't saved at any point, so I've lost interest now. Not all of us have infinite leisure time, it's one of the reasons I couldn't commit to a trials guild. I'd never have finally managed vet MA if I couldn't take six month breaks between rounds So it's not actually endless, just not possible to do in one go.

I'm not intending to do it at all, an endless repetative dungeon really doesn't appeal to me. At some point I may do the first part once so I can say I've done it, but that won't be for a long time, if ever.

• I find arenas extremely tedious
• I do not enjoy spending hours at a time on one activity
• There is no way to save progress which can lead to hours of continuous physical inactivity

Unsure, perhaps an hour, maybe a bit more. While I am interested to see what it’s all about, I grow weary of the combat quite quickly. Also, doing the same activity in game over and over again has never appealed. Maybe I will be pleasantly surprised though?

Yes exactly. Why are so few people talking about the lack of saving progress? It's the one thing that will keep us from going beyond arc 1 or 2. It's just too much of a time commitment all at once.

Path of Exile's endless delve is much better in that regard. You can continue basically where you left off, any time you want. Different game with different mechanics but at least it saves your progress.

In that case if I ever do play it I won't get beyond an hour or two, because I don't have time to play more than that in one go.

I ran it again on PTS this morning, and died 3 times to the 1st cycle boss in Arc 1. Previous runs on PTS have only got me as far as the 2nd cycle boss on Arc 1. Fair enough if I was running a low-level character with no half-decent ability in the rest of the game but it was a 540CP magplar (with Mirri) and afterwards I went back to the base game and soloed a world boss without any difficulty.

I don't understand why dungeons etc have normal and veteran modes yet EA is structured so that players who can solo world bosses and dungeon bosses can't even complete Arc 1. I fully get that veteran players don't want to waste time running through a load of trash content but if EA had the same mode options as dungeons etc then it would appeal to a lot more normal players without inconveniencing the veteran players. As it is, I shan't bother with it on Live in its present form.

On a side note I just noticed EA can print quite a bit of gold. Hopefully this doesn't become a problem.

No idea, I probably wont even go inside until after the event ends. If Arenas are any indication, I wont spend much time inside. Especially as the armour rewards are pretty Meh for me.
