Please bring back silly proc sets

Is Mad Tinkerer the only set left that knocks people into the air? 😣

I was recently farming the Shadow of the Red Mountain set, and was really sad to see that it was changed to no longer knock enemies into the air.

This was a hilarious mechanic that is sorely missing in the game because I don't need to do high damage all the time.

Sometimes I just need a good laugh, ya know?

Agree 100%! I miss the fun and silly things that used to give this game so much character. Bring back named set pieces too.

They are fun doing dirt solo, but doesn't really fill a function. I remember running Way of Fire, Red Mountain and Valkyn Skoria on a silly StamDK with fire abilities (2H/Bow for weapons), instead of poison. Not viable in any way, but just a fun experiment. These three sets - at least back then - were "proc'ing" from one another constantly. Just fire one single arrow with a flame, and watch the inferno. A guy told me and I didn't really believe him, but yeah... :-)

Death's Wind was hilarious back in the day. An army of people would be bashing on you then all of a sudden flop over, look at each other and go "wtf happened" while you run off into the sunset.

There's that set that knocks people into the air using a giant skeletal hand. If they can't be CCd then it instead deals damage. Can't remember what it's called off the top of my head. The monster helmet looks like a skeleton face with a hood. Kinda creepy.

Now if we could just get the Wabbajack so we can turn people into scamps and an assortment of other random creatures, I'd be a happy guy.

Oh my! If you can remember, please post here? When you're max level, amusing sets can keep overland questing entertaining... I'd just like to see some new sets that aren't so damage focused, you know? I have trial gear, pvp gear, but not enough fun gear 🤘😈🤘

I believe that's the Kjalnar's Nightmare monster set from Unhallowed Grave :)

I agree. Since Wheeler and his gang of nerf-nuts took over, there hasn't been a whole lot to giggle at. I run Mad Tinkerer and Red Mountain too ... just because they make me smile. Worse than infuriating, this numbers driven development and design is just plain old boring.

I loved running Thunderbug, Storm Knight and Illambris for the lightining storm dance party, if it had any guts I’d still be running it. The dps is so low I had to trash.

So it looks like I'll be farming for a setup of Kjalnar, Dreamer's and Mad Tinkerer. Then isn't there also a Mages Guild volcano morph that sends enemies flying too? It will be glorious lol 😂

Thumbs up from me. Game needs more mad tinkerers. Or maybe sets that proc'd a giant hammer or something to whack the mobs... I don't wear them in dungeons but they really make overland a whole lot more fun

Sorry, no fun allowed. Only number crunching...

I use Mad Tinkerer and Red Mountain all the time. I don't see what's silly about having fun. The whole point I switch the game on is to smile, be surprised and have fun. Otherwise what is it, a big excel spreadsheet? no thanks.

@Sneaky-Snurr I've been mostly talking about funny things for overland questing, when you get to max level and everything dies too quickly. I think I even mentioned not caring about dealing damage? Lately I've just been focused on learning all the weapon skills and their morphs 🤗

Can we have fun silly proc sets again, please.

No that's not monoliths.

I should just run Death’s Wind again, go into PvP and just stand on a roof of a keep under attack. They attack, then they fly, I laugh.

Well, that set is silly, but not in a good way.

You try and see what people think now and you're told 'you must try and see what people think now, don't ever talk about the past, or build on anything, discussion closed'. So annoying.

IMHO, few things are more obnoxious than being bounced around like a ball, as when everyone was wearing dark convergence. Even aside from if its effective or counter-able, it’s just not fun for anyone but the person wearing the set. I imagine a set knocking people into the air could be similarly obnoxious and perhaps get people stuck in walls or knocked into or out of keeps, the list goes on.

If you really want a silly proc set, maybe one that does something funny or situationally useful to your own character? Like if you suddenly go flying out of combat, maybe a good escape, maybe not. You probably have better ideas of what could be fun, but the point is that it should be to your character, or else it should be something that takes some skill and timing to set up, like bombers’ builds, and not a simple proc set that everyone can set off.
