So I had this idea to make reagents more affordable , and makes homes even more useful…Gardening!
1) you need beds/pots. Pots are a “furnishing” that can hold 1 Reagent. Beds can hold 5. You can buy Pots with writs. You can also very rarely find a gold recipe for Pots and Beds when harvesting alchemy nodes or completing Alchemy Writs.
2) once you have your furnishings, you interact with it and plant your reagent. Grown plants will yield 3 reagents.
3) Once it’s planted, you’ll need to water it. This must be done once a day. If not the plant may die. And if it does you’ll need to start over.
4) You’ll also need fertilizer to help grow. There are 4 levels:
Green - Large Worms (No change to yield) Can be bought from alchemists.
Blue - Fresh Compost (1 additional yield plus a 25% chance to double the yield) Chance to harvest from any alchemy node.
Purple - Ash Mountain Soil (1 additional yield plus a 50% chance to double yield) Chance to harvest from any alchemy node in any Morrowind zone.
Gold - Guar Droppings (2 additional yield plus 75% chance to double yield) Chance to drop from any slain Guar.
These can stack with champion points. So with max master gatherer and a plant with Guar Droppings, you can potentially harvest 20 reagents from one plant.
5) You can dig up plants to plant something new. However you won’t recover any components.
6) You can harvest every 3 days (so twice a week)
Note that the Flower Pot writ cost isn’t cheap. So it’s not like you can buy them very easily. A couple hundred writs per purchase. Also, the recipes are very rare, and they can’t be bought with writs. You must find them in the world. They can be traded on guild traders.
