Allow us to show UserID in Group List

I choose to show UserID yet when in a group it only shows the Character name in the list. This becomes very confusing very fast because I have no idea which character name in the group list goes with the name I am seeing over the player.

Please allow us to show UserID in the group list too.

Is this a pc specific problem? I have my eso set to show user ID (I have no idea who plays what character!) and both the group view on the top left and the group view in the social menu shows the user ID. From memory the list in the social menu also shows the character name, but it is a later column, not the first one

For group list, leaderboards and alliance war/emperor leaderboards you have this addon I am maintaining which respects your "show UserID" setting (and puts the character name in the tooltip):

But yes, applying your "show UserID" setting everywhere should be in the vanilla code and can be easily/quickly done by ZOS.

I don't want the pchat add-on. It does way more than I want and has several dependencies. I try to keep add-on use to just what I really want and not a lot of extra.

The group member list should display whichever the player has chosen in the settings. I don't know why it doesn't but this should be changed.

Another strange thing happens where someone will whisper me and when I reply it changes their name. Like it keeps going back and forth between Character name and User ID. This only happens in whispers and only for players that aren't on my friends list or in my guild.

I never have that issue.I chose prefer UserID in settings,and don't get character names anywhere.Maybe something else is causeing an issue?

When you are in a group the group member list shows UserID and not Character name?

Interesting,do you play with gamepad mode or the default keyboard mode?

Which of these views isnt showing user ID on PC? ( for nosiness sake, as I would really struggle with character names). The group list view has psn ID as first column and the view with the group on the top left is also showimg psn id

The first one doesn't. I'm not sure about the second because the group list on my screen is covered by the minimap I use. (I don't heal so I don't watch that.)

Go to the add-on page @Masteroshi430 linked in his post and there is a screenshot of what we see on PC.

account id's should never be used in public spaces as it represents a security risk to your account. acount aliases should be a thing instead. This is one thing that steam does that i def agree with.
