ESO Forum Improvement Survey

Seems strange that you can do it with twitch and amazon prime, but not with the forums.

Different online software types are specifically designed for different things and not for other things.

Twitch is a live streaming and marketing service. Amazon Prime Gaming is a marketing service. The forums are designed to be an very organized and a constructive discussion software on a very specific topic (in this case Elderscrolls).

Online forums in general(any forum software) are not designed to be a marketing, live streaming, social media-like services. For marketing service: this includes free in-game awards for logging into the forums. This sort of technology is currently not available for online forum softwares.
We can come up ideas for alternatives to encourage more to come to the forums. Such as soon as someone creates their eso account and/or purchases the game, they receive an automatic invitation to the forums. No need to go through and make requests to customer support for an invite. The forum invite system needs to get some reworked. This invite can be made available not just by email but also by an notification on the account page, in-game mail, etc.

Making the link to the forums more easier to locate (more obvious) on the website and a link on the game launcher. Also adding links to the forums on their social media profiles (Twitter, twitch, discord, Facebook, etc) will help too. 😀. It's always good to have a variety of options for communication.

Twitch and Amazon Prime are robust full featured longstanding partner-type companies; vanilla is a homegrown free to use software backend with not much functionality, unlike phpBB3.

That's a huge difference when it comes to implementation such as suggested.

But to the earlier part of the question, we are looking at more ways for people to come to the forums and to meet players where they currently are. This is always in discussion and this survey will help in getting us to the next step.

As an aside to this, I got started posting on the forums because the Support Team asked me to make a bug report on the forums after they couldn't help me with the problem. When I said, "I don't have a Forum Account," they helped me get one set up.
