Anyone else not getting event coffers from bosses?

So I realize the event description says there is only a "chance" to get a coffer from wb, delve, nymic bosses... but so far I've received exactly zero from any of these activities.

I'm getting them from turning in dailies, and fairly often from farming nodes / treasure chests. So just curious - is anyone getting coffers from killing bosses? What sort of drop rate have you seen?

(I don't know if this might be related, but I am also not getting the esoteric parchment drop from any bosses).

Sorry, that sounds like RNG isn't being nice In previous events (the Vvardenfell one comes to mind) there has also been a cooldown on coffers dropping, which I believe has been around 3-5 minutes depending on the event.

Yesterday, before either of us had picked up any event quests, my partner and I killed a world boss in the Telvanni Peninsula. She got a coffer; I didn't. Neither of us had done anything else in game that day, so we hadn't gotten any coffers at all and definitely weren't on cooldown.

Same thing with the pages. When we moved on to the public dungeon, I got two from the group event in Gorne (since it has multiple bosses, who can each drop a page) - she only got one. When we killed a delve boss, we each got a page, but when it respawned we got only a few gold each, no gear or anything else, since we were on loot cooldown.

It seems RNG can be a lot worse and that we got pretty lucky, all things considered.

Some events aren't friendly to healer or tanks, when boss drop are only limited to the top 12 players who damage the boss.
if you are looking to get any drop from boss, bring a dps?

The issue is actually not my dps, the issue is that the bosses, when they drop loot, do not drop either event coffers or esoteric parchment for me. WB's, delve bosses, wandering seeker bosses, nymic bosses. Well over 60 total of all these types combined, at this point. I am asking if anyone else is having similar or better luck, not about how to improve my dps.

Just checked in with our events team and everything is working as intended. They are able to get bonus coffers to drop from bosses on live without issue. However, we have passed on feedback on the drop rate for these so the team is aware.

It's too bad since I really used to enjoy this event!

I had many bosses that did not drop the purple reward boxes or the parchment papers.

Early in the day I got more but later in the day when there were more players they stopped dropping.

Sorry, I can’t believe it’s working as intended. I spent hours yesterday doing everything possible in the region. Killed tons of bosses of all varieties. I got no drops whatsoever of the event quest items. I don’t tend to be lucky on my RNG, but this is ridiculous.

I have to piggy back on this, I spent about 5 hours trying to find event items and boxes. I looted almost 400 nodes, killed countless bosses from delves, overland, public dungeons etc and the drop rate seems to be inconsistent. I finally got some things after hours of farming and I just was over it.

Tonight the drop rate for nodes and chest was a lot better, but the WBs and dungeon bosses are not. I did 8 wWBs and the group event for Gorne and didn't get a single parchment or coffer for any of them.

The mini-bosses in Gorne aren't really dropping either, but yesterday and the day before I got 2 parchments from the main bosses in Gorne and from a couple of world bosses. So today the easier node farming was more rewarding than the more difficult targets.

Today again no parchment or coffer drops from world bosses.

I see no point to doing WBs until this is fixed.

I just got two coffers from Chainmaker. Maybe it depends on how much damage you do.

In case it matters, I've done the initial parchment quest and have Azandar out. I wasn't camping the boss and didn't have it as a daily quest. I was just running by and saw it in progress so I jumped in.

@ZOS_Kevin - as requested, here's an update...

Idk if y'all changed something on Friday, but the drops from bosses did improve from zero, at least.

Prior to Friday evening, I had done approximately 60 various bosses with no coffers or parchments.

I kept track more specifically after that and here are the numbers (not counting bosses that did not drop loot, and not counting any bosses killed within a few minutes of getting a coffer, to account for a cooldown). Also, each of these times a coffer and a parchment dropped together - there was never a time where one dropped without the other.

Friday night: WB 15(6 drops); Seekers 8(1 drop); Delve 2(0 drops); Pub Dung 7(2 drops); Nymic 2 runs (1 drop)
Saturday: WB's 11(6 drops); Seekers 13(0 drops); Delve 5(2 drops); Pub Dung 3(0 drops); Nymic 2 runs (0 drops)
Sunday: WB 9(2 drops); Seekers 11(1 drop); Delve 2(1 drop); Pub Dung 3(0 drops); Nymic 2 runs (1 drop)

Overall:
WB: 35(14 drops) [40%]
Seekers: 32(2 drops) [6%]
Delve: 9(3 drops) [33%]
Pub Dung: 13(2 drops) [15%]
Nymic: 6 runs(2 drops) [33%]

So... definitely an improvement over the 0% drop rate from the beginning of the event, but still feels rather low. I still hear a lot of other players complaining, so it might be worth having the team double check if there's some bug in the code that is causing the event drops from bosses to be unavailable under certain circumstances... I wish I could be more helpful in narrowing that down, but it seems pretty random. I'll log onto one character and get nothing for an hour - then I'll log onto another one and get drops from several bosses (and a ton of parchment from farming too). It's very inconsistent.

Again Kevin, I really appreciate that you read my post and took the time to look into this.

And I would add that, if the extremely varied RNG type behavior I've experienced with the drops *is* what's intended, I would suggest adding some guaranteed sources for any item similar to the parchments, in future events. There are guaranteed drops for the coffers, via the event quest and the necrom dailies - I think at the very least, if the dailies were guaranteed to also drop some parchment pages, it would give players with bad RNG a way to feel they are still able to participate in the event.

@ZOS_Kevin I would also like to piggy back on this issue/conversation. I too have experienced an issue with no coffers and no Esoteric Pages dropping. This happened to me either on Saturday or Sunday (can't remember which, but I suspect it was Sunday). I did the all 3 Necrom Daily quests 3 times (so a total of 9 daily quests completed). In that time, I received no Esoteric pages from any drops (mobs or bosses), resource nodes, or chests. I also did not receive any Secret Telvanni Coffer from any source "except" for the Daily Quest turn ins. I even tried logging off and quitting the game, then coming back... still no drops.

Yesterday (Monday), drops were working normal. But today, it was broken again... I did the 3 Daily Necrom quests, no Esoteric pages nor Secret Telvanni Coffers from any drops/nodes/chests. Only from the quest turn ins.

The only thing I did different yesterday, is I grabbed the Event quest yesterday (for turning in the pages) at beginning of my gaming session, but did not today. However, my wife who was grouped up with me also had not grabbed the quest today, but was receiving coffers and pages all throughout today.

Today (Wednesday), pages and coffer drops are dropping like normal again. Weird.
