They make my weapons glow, spin rocks around me and coat me in ice.

Buff other classes? The game has become so easy and boring.
I remember when to do a DLC dungeon you had to learn mechanics and do them, now 90% of boss fights are just stack and burn.
Game need a tone down in all classes and sets.

They did that. They changed the crit cap. Templars and Necros got worked over. People hated it. So they pumped up the DK and Oakensorc and gave us the Arcanist.
While I agree with you that mechanics were more fun than stack and burn, the game will never go back to when 40K DPS was great and 60K was OP. I think the devs somewhat feel the same, as we keep getting better mechanic-heavy content. But running vMOL now versus when it came out is not the same. Heck, running vDSA or vMA is not the same.

Yeah people thinking they need to be parsing 100k+ for trials now is puzzling. It trivializes everything. We cleared those when there were real dps checks within the mechanics, and those dps checks were what made them fun/challenging. We already have normal trials for people who are more casual, but now vet trials have become a total joke too. Even trifecta achievements are a bit of a joke now due to the absolutely stupid dps. I'm at the point where I'm trying to find a more casual guild with worse players so the content isn't so damn boring.

Yeah somewhere along the line we tricked ourselves as players into thinking that 100k is the norm/minimum. Outside of harder stuff like HM, and vet trials you only really need about 25k-40k to do about 98% of the game. Even 15k-25k you can get a ton of content done. I do about 20k-32k depending and I don’t have any complaints really.
For reference 100k is trials dummy number and the other are 3M Robust dummy… just so the numbers make sense lol.

To not really struggle or have it take 2hrs in most vet trials you want about 50k. Sunspire is an example. Getting through clearing storm atros at ice boss at 40k will be really, really daunting and most likely the ot will be overwhelmed. 100k is definitely not necessary for most trials, even hms with the exception of rockgrove hm, you really want about 105k for that since there is a heavy dps check at the end thats on a time limit. For hms in most of my guild 80k is usually the requirement. Rghm was designed specifically for power creep which is why higher dps is important. For most hms 80k will get you through even if it takes a while. As for dungeons: 25k on a 3-6m will do you just fine. Blackrose arena will the exception where you really want around 40k for it not to be a total struggle bus.
