Fresh new PVP build idea in this 2023 meta! Any suggestions on fleshing it out?

So I'm thinking...

40/0/24 Attributes.
2/2 Maarselok monster set
2/2 Master's Perfected Dual-wield Frontbar.
2/2 Vateshran's Perfected Ice-staff Backbar
1/1 Sea-Serpent Coil
maybe +1 Trainee and +1 Druid's to push HP over 35k.

Orzorga's Smoked Bear Haunch for health and recoveries of course!
Current bar setup looks like this:

I think the build already has everything it needs, really. But since I've got 7 unused bar slots and have yet to even choose race or class, I think it could be improved.
Any ideas? Thanks.

I think it is central to ESO's well-being to critique the developers when they change the game (or fail to change something).
But the negativity can be exhausting, so I vow to post 50/50 negativity and appreciation.

Aww man! But I already golded out everything to get the extra +3 Crit Resistance from my Impen traits :(

    lolz.

Sometimes sarcasm is a good way to make a point.

Race and class in PvP has become far less relevant lately. Just run these sets and go.

    Greetings,

After further review we have decided to move this thread to a category we think is more appropriate for this topic, as it deals with PvP.

    Thank you for your understanding

Yeah, I was thinking after you add that, you should be good to go.

ESO PvP, where sets do all the work for you.
I wonder if the combat team now and then step foot in PvP or have they totally abandoned it?

I think that's a very original, off-meta build. Shame Way Of Fire won't fit in there to keep the cheese levels as low as possible. For class, I would choose DK, as that requires the most skill, and really needs major and minor heroism to bring it in line with MagCro.

This will never catch on… to much stuff to micromanage on this kind of set up.. I mean, I would have to press 3 buttons to get all the sets to proc.

Way of fire is just another thing I have to manage on a build like this.

Man I miss the viper/Selene meta, only needed to light attack to 1 shot people

    Genius.

Let us know how the build goes, sounds kind of interesting, albeit I believe @a_u_s_t_y might be right, sounds pretty difficult trying to proc everything all at once.

I know we're laying on the sarcasm pretty thick at this point, but just so we're clear...
Since Way of Fire procs off of "Martial Melee" damage, and Rending Slashes is a Melee ability dealing Martial damage, it reliably procs Way of Fire.
No you don't have to stay in melee range; no it doesn't matter that it's a DoT; Rending Slashes procs Way of Fire on CD without further effort needed.

It truly is, one of the proc sets of all time.

you'll definitely want a DK with this build.

    don't forget corrosive.

3 whole buttons!!!! that is just far too complicated, even the pros don't get that sweaty. The build will never catch on being this complicated to use.

That was my thought. It's a solid build but requires a high degree of skill.

I recommend practising heavy attacks on a target dummy first. That will help you get used to proccing Maarselok. It does mean pressing a button, but you will be rewarded by doing a huge amount of damage.

Then, when you feel confident about heavy attacking, (don't rush this step) move on to practise casting rending slashes on the target dummy. This is the *really* hard part, but practise makes perfect.

    Add nord for more tankiness.

    To the point:

Seriously ZOS, please do not pretend that you do not see this. Also look at ability costs:

    - Ele Sus - free
    - rending slashes - 2k stam
    - Heavy attack - stam recovery
    - Maarselok - free dmg
    - WOF - free dmg proc every 2s.

To be honest this build do not even need sustain, as everything is for free. Also it works on every class.

Where is class identity? Where is diversity?

Maarselok should proc on diseased-status target after 10 counters.

I really like counters. They reduce the need for timers.

Elemental Susceptability should cost magicka now since it applies free damage/status effects currently. When it was just a major breach, it was sorta acceptable as free but still should have cost like 150-200 magicka per cast.

I have a great new idea which I will reveal to all of you:

Put this on a stam sorc, then you get Hurricane. Plus add in quick cloak. Lots of free damage!

2 GOs, an overlord and bunches of prefects etc-- all classes...I've wasted a lot of time in PVP

Hey!? What do you think you're doing? These are the ESO PVP forums, we only complain about DKs and Wardens imbalance here!

Nah, this will never work, Sorcs suck at using proc sets, their class abilities, especially lightning splash, encase and boundless storm, are all super strong so strong you'd never need/want to run a proc set on the class. One exception is streak though, that is far too weak, needs a huge buff.
