Non-proc battlegrounds

Hi,

As everyone knows we have no-proc cyrodiil and no-proc imperial city. How about no-proc battlegrounds?

I'm quite sure that many ppl are tired of all this proc sets, and will join no-proc battlegrounds.

What do you guys think?

No thanks. Queue times are already pretty bad we don't need to make them worse.

proc sets are fun to me. and i don't need them to be inactive in battlegrounds just because my character got killed by someone with them

Don't you see that it's inconsistent that you can go proc/ no-proc cyroodil and IC but battlegrounds are only proc?

My Idea is to give choice to the players.

30-60 yikes, it'll get worse with another queue system on top. What about if you want to play with your friends? The waiting time for group games are abysmal now, even at peak hours it can be 10-20+ minutes. (PCEU)

Choices to players always falls in the same lane as "Less is more" its pointless when people don't want to play anymore due to awful combat meta and heavy waiting times.

I don't know what kind of discussion you're expecting but most people don't find no proc that appealing, Ravenwatch PCEU is a ghost town for the most of the day compared to Grayhost. Honestly they should do away with no proc, the populations would be better off for it.

Where is my option to go play no-cp Cyrodiil with procs? or no-cp IC with procs?

im confused by your comment, am i unselfish or selfish?

battlegrounds is already no cp and it often takes a long time to get into a battleground. if there was another queue it would probably be even longer.

unless somehow more people hate proc sets than not, but i've seen so many people who use them that that's hard to believe.

plus if you want it to be consistent with cyrodiil campaign choices there should be a battleground queue with cp as well.

The BG population is already very small.

At least in high MMR you will usually see very familiar names in every single BG.
Group BG queue already takes up to 15+ minutes during prime evening hours.

It really wouldnt be a great idea to split that playerbase up further. Especially because non proc PvP really doesnt seem to be wanted by too many people. Ravenwatch is almost always empty and nonCP IC is always empty.
I doubt it would be fun to wait half an hour or more for every BG if you even manage to find one.

How you been to no cp IC? Yesterday I killed like 20 ppl in 30 mins in no cp IC.

Better balance among proc sets would go a long way. On Xbox NA probably a solid 50% of players are in Master's DW and Way of Fire, another 25% or so with Wrath of Elements. Red Mountain and Maarselok here and there but.. that's really it. Maybe I missed one or two but point is, it's like 6 proc sets on 1 out of 2 players, the other 200 or 300 making no appearance in High MMR.

It's possible that no proc stack surpassed the power of a Crimson Twilight, Chokethorn, Syvarra's Scale, Malacath StamDen in 2020.. but outside of that, there was tremendous diversity and also some class preference during the Malacath era. MagSorcs in Mad Tinkerer, etc.

To be fair, no-CP IC is full of tin can PvErs looking to farm Tel Var.

I would be fine with a no-proc battlegrounds if there was a sizeable population of PVP players there. I prefer no-proc environments for pvp, the problem is the population isn't there for BG's and I imagine no-proc would be lower as well.

So unfortunately, such ruleset isn't possible.

You won't get enough players to play no-proc because most of those left playing PvP in this game are basically a self selecting sample of roleplayers at this point. They have no real interest in skilled, competitive or even good PvP (even by the low standards of MMOs), hence they are fine with the colossal amount of passively applied damage, CC, heals, etc that play the game for them.

I believe it is. During the PvP event, there were enough players, also pvp areas were full. Just increase rewards, and maybe add some new rewards, only obtainable by PvP.

It's really really easy to encourage ppl to pvp. I dont understand so much pessimism, there is always a solution.

and the issue is the population of the BGs. Unlike Cyrodiil where most of us flock to the busier campaign and we have campaigns that are fairly low pop, BGs need enough players queueing to get it to pop. There is a reason why Zenimax has never given death-match it's on solitary queue and population is likely the reason. So it would not make sense to create a specialty queue for BGs if this is the case.

BG's modes were consolidated into "random" some time ago due to population shrink; this would further that issue. End result; even longer queue times. I miss the times of insta-pop queues and diversity of players. Any more it's the same 15-20 regulars in BGs sprinkled in with randoms here an there.

I miss when the outcom of BGs weren't predictable and pvp population was in a healthier state.

You know... A lot of us are frequently angry about the state of the game. Yet we still play.

I'm sure some BG people would be very upset if BGs became no-proc. But would they actually quit? I'm not so sure.

I think Ravenwatch is so dead because there ARE other rulesets of the exact same thing. And we've been told a thousand times that the BG population isn't big enough to withstand a similar division.

Making BGs be no-proc and reverting Ravenwatch to it's old self might actually be the best way to have both.

I've seen some people here from time to time floating the idea of "more competitive, skill based BGs," sometimes even going so far as to suggest pre-set identical gear for everybody. This would honestly be sorta like that.
