Necromancer Siphon issues

**TESTED EXTENSIVELY ON XBOX EU**
Not sure if this has already been reported or not and Ive missed it, but just checking on a fix for the Siphon, obviously its the go to for shock proc on EC as a Necro and at the moment it surely isnt working as intended.
To get the Siphon to actually register any damage figures and to proc EC, you either have to be stood on the enemies feet and get the blastbones to land through the enemy and come back in to it so the tether goes directly through the boss or you have to be stood within 2-3 metres. Not viable on a lot of the new HMs.
Have videos of each that can be shown if needed.

You can see from this link that the blastbones hit so a corpse is available, but the siphon doesnt seem to have to Area aspect anymore unless I am stood within the area, so no damage or EC Proc from the shock damage unless I stand within the shock damage.

Lazarus9703Soul ShrivenYeah the hitbox on them has always been poor but just seems crazy to be able to tether but not have any damage unless you are within 2m of the enemy.
As I say im not sure if this is an Xbox only issue or if its on PC too.

Can confirm it's present on PC as well. I have a hard time keeping my Lightning EC with only Wall x)
Edit : after some extra testing, I found out the exact reason of the bug : despite what the tooltip says ("to all enemies around the corpse and between you and the corpse") and what the animation seems to illustrate, the damage is dealt arround YOURSELF and between you and the corpse, like the healing tether, my guess is the copy-paste from the healing tether wasn't enough verified. Easy way to check and reproduce : generate a corpse somewhere not too far from a dummy, tether it to yourself, and go hug the dummy ! Screenshot below, you can see EC debuff on the Goliath but not on the Factotum, despite the lightning AoE visual on the corpse clearly on the factotum.
