Crown Store Gifting..... a suggestion

I can't honestly say I "get it" - turning off an entire system because a small number of your player base is potentially abusing it seems like overkill to me. It's also frustrating on a personal level - I often gift Crown Store items as competition prizes in the Sunfire's Sect trading guild (PC/EU), or between my accounts. Just deal with the individuals abusing the system !!
That said.... I enjoy the Crown Store and I know it's a great way to help fund the game, something we should all want if we want a continuation of great content. So, my suggestion to @ZOS_GinaBruno / @ZOS_Kevin is this: give us an impromptu Crowns Sale.
Surely the sales of Crowns is going to drop off with the lack of gifting.... In that case, encourage everyone to buy for themselves by sticking them on sale for a few days.

Lozeenge✭✭✭need to keep in mind that crown exchanging goes both ways; some people buy crowns just to sell off for gold to spend on resources such as crafting mats or consumables, or to have gold invested on a wanted item later down the line.
putting crowns on sale isn't going to convince people, especially with a FOMO business model. and if players are even abusing it then the whole system desperately needs a revision.PC-NA / 1500+ CP / PvE mostly / "Mama didn't raise no tank."0
