I have heard through talk and through Nefas' video on this topic, but people are getting bold and I have been seeing it myself in Cyrodiil Grayhost.
Yesterday while approaching Nikel, I'd witnessed a group of 3 AD players fly hacking; they moved straight vertical from the postern door near up over the wall until I rounded the corner; once they saw me, they dropped back down and ran; it was too quick for me to try recording or grabbing a screenshot.
Again this morning there was a DC player on an inaccessible platform at the KC mill with one siege. The only way I could get to him was leaping (I was in werewolf thankfully) but due to such a strange spot I suspected cheat engine... so I grabbed a screenshot before leaping up there to kill him and destroy the siege.
Shortly after killing him, I got a whisper, "That cheat engine just got you banned"
Essentially admitting he was aware that location was not accessible. Glad I grabbed the screenshot before leaping up there bc I was in voice with a guild and very perplexed. But that confirmed it and this cheat engine issue needs to be addressed.
This thread is both to bring awareness, but also to cover my bum in more ways than one if this dude really did report me post killing him as I stood there really trying to figure it out, really trying to see if it could have been a cheat engine thing like suspected or if there were an organic means of getting there. Then I got the whisper... Hoping my report goes through properly; there is a special character in the person's username, so I wasn't able to spell it correctly either. Screenshots are all I've got.
Be careful out there... cover yourself if something looks suspicious with screenshots or quick ways to hit record. It could save the thousands of dollars we pour into our ESO accounts...
Can we get some confirmation that this cheat engine thing is being addressed?
Undoubtedly, you'll find me in Mournhold.
