Graphics problems on MacBook Pro 2011

I'm running the game on the following machine and having terrible graphics problems that i did not have whilst playing the BETA versions of the game.

MacBook Pro (15" - Early 2011)
2.2 GHz Intel Core i7
16GB 1333 MHz DDR3 RAM
AMD Radeon HD 6750M 1024MB GPU
OS X 10.9.2 (MAVERICKS)

I have tried:
• Putting all of the graphics settings to LOW or OFF
• Running the game in a low resolution 1024x768
• Forcing use of the Higher Perf GPU (AMD 6750m) instead of the onboard (Intel HD3000)

I have also recently formatted and reinstalled the OS (fresh install) so that I am starting from the good position in terms of performance.

I took part in two BETA releases of the game without any problems.

I've attached a video file of what i see when running the intro.

Please help - i've pre-ordered so that i get early access and so far i haven't had any access at all.

:-(

I don't have a MacBook Pro myself to compare but I would think there is some other issue going on here. Most MBP Mac reports are pretty positive.

Edit: Ok now I see it is the Cinematic intro not actually in AvA ;)

I asked someone who has one to post hopefully who can offer more advice.

What you can try, and what always works for me is reseting the SMC and PRAM

    SMC: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3964
    PRAM: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379

Tell me it it's worked for you.

i have tried SMC and PRAM reset. The performance is in game as well, not just the intro video. (Thanks)

    Can you try something for me. Try playing the cinematic direct on your Mac. You will need to just download a small free app from the company who do the tech behind them;

The Bink Video Player for MacOS X

Just install where you like. You can trash it after if you want.

    Then go to:
    /Applications/ZeniMax Online/The Elder Scrolls Online/depot/Video/Opening_Cinematic_en.bik

And launch the cinematic (will nedd to confirm prompt for new app)

It should auto play the cinematic. See how it looks that way compared to in game.

The other things that spring to mind are heat issues if you can check temperature during play. Best free temp monitor seems to be Mac Fan Control which is also able to change fan etc. but can just be used for temperature. Make sure all air flow is dust free etc.

There are a lot of issues with that graphics card in the MacBook Pro 2011 and I suggest you check this Apple Discussion thread. It may be an indication of underlying hardware issue.

Make sure you submit a bug report in-game (/bug in chat window) and open a ticket via ESO Support. for this also.
