Would you please add the lost thesis to the PVP or Jesters event gold loot boxes? I'm never going to do enough battlegrounds to get one with its impossible drop rate and as a completionist the gap in my recipe book is gnawing at me.

ask around in major zones if someone is selling. Unless you're on some ironman challenge (which no one is doing for this game) you should look to buying it off a seller. The last person I saw selling the recipe fragment was advertising for a week before it actually sold.

One is currently for sale for 750m on NA/PC, but it's not worth that much (it was going for either 100 or 200m)

Is literally impossible to get this recipe. It only exist to ruin everyone collection. I too hope it will be added to an event someday.

It is exceedingly rare and unless you set yourself up with a pretty tight operation fairly useless.

Funny thing is, they seemed to have added a 'feature' regarding this recipe.

I used to farm dew during Mayhem, dropped with reasonable regularity, it was a nice bit of gold on the side... but at some point they made a change and currently unless you have learned the recipe the odds of getting dew from nodes are more or less the same odds as getting dust.

However if you have the recipe learned then your odds are substantially better - or how the odds were for everyone before.

Never was any mention on patch notes about this change, why it was done or when but thanks for that.

Now I don't get to make gold on the side and my friends who have the recipe learned and sell tortes have to do the farming themselves.

Between arbitrary changes like this and the dev's unquenchable thirst for bound items I sometimes think they really don't like [us] trading.

Just do what I do and pretend it doesn't exist. Because for all intents and purposes it might as well not exist.

The recipe is insane to farm and the item you need to craft it are almost as rare.

Considering how much easier it is to craft colovian war torte the white gold is nowhere near worth it.

"Much easier" is actually an understatement lol. For the difference between +50% and +150% it's ludicrous. The recipe and mourning dew are exceedingly rare and the 100,000 tel var cost per 4 tortes is damned expensive.

I've farmed Cyrodiil more than every other zone combined. Found multiple colovian recipes but not a single mourning dew. I don't do battlegrounds enough anymore to even worry about the recipe. I mean why even bother when the dew cannot be found?

I agree, on pc-eu Molten War Torte is around 333K and White-Gold War Torte 500K who is insane for an 50 minutes buff of limited utility, yes you level up the skill lines faster and get to overlord faster.
While the Colovian War Torte is cheap because cheap ingrediencies.

*All three* recipes are insanely hard to get.

Even the regular Colovian War Torte... is insanely difficult to actually find, and costs 2 million on guild traders as a result, and this is supposed to be the "common" one. At least its ingredients are common.

And you need THREE OF THEM because not only do you need the thing itself, but it's a component for the other two.

And the Molten War Torte... 500000 Tel Vars for a copy of the book and 100000 to improve ONE single Colovian Torte to 4 Molten? That's insane. I've been playing three years and only just broken 400k Tel var, I'm still a long way from buying the book and I still don't have a Colovian torte recipe to use it *on* anyway, and after that, 100k tel var for ONE meal? Or even for four? That's an insane expense.

Honestly, even if it were 50k Tel Var for the book and 10k Tel Var for the meal, it would be an insane expense.

And you need TWO OF THEM because the second recipe book (which also requires yet another first recipe book) is a component for the third.

And then... don't even ask about the drop rate of the third book, OR of Mourning Dew. I mean, when something is that rare, it isn't going to be consumed because it is not worth consuming. Who actually uses Aetherial Dust, or the actual food items / potions that use it as a component?
