Anyone else experiencing this auto-movement bug?

Apologies if this has already been brought up in other threads, but I didn't see anything about it.

For the last few days (presumably as of U39), I've experienced a bug where I get stuck in motion; I stop pressing W but my character keeps moving as though I'm still holding down W. Aside from being at least a little annoying, this is worrisome because I'm afraid it might trigger some kind of anti-cheat detection algorithm and lead to an auto-ban. Am I the only person experiencing this?

Have you asked your guilds or in zone chats? Sounds like you might have a sticky W, but I didn’t play today, so 🤷‍♀️

I don't think it's a problem with my keyboard, but that's why I'm asking if it's just me or if others have seen it. It seems to be in specific locations, such as in Vivec City, but not in other locations.

@SeaGtGruff I also feel like that. Since U39 the movement feels much more incoherent.

My character is not moving automatically without pressing anything but especially by turning the camera around or running curves it feels like it is delayed.

I would describe it like playing on 20-30 FPS but I am playing on GF GTX4090 and also on highend PC which is permanent on my FPS cap. So it is not my hardware issue and I think it is caused by the server or the game itself.

Would be nice if other people also have this experience since U39 and reply.

I have a similar bug (but not the same, yet) - sometimes when I'm trying to pick up stuff, the character sprints away in that direction, from standing still before, and keeps on running.
There has to be a synchronization bug somewhere in their code.

One more detail I can add is that, IIRC, it has happened either inside the Saint Delyn Canton, Saint Olms Canton, or going from one to the other. I don't think it's happened to me out in the crafting area, which is odd since that area tends to be much more populated with players.

Just happened to me in Gonfalon Bay, High Isle, while riding on my mount. I think portions of Gonfalon Bay may have still been in the process of loading at the time, if that matters. Coincidentally, the interior of Saint Delyn Canton can take a while to fully load after you port there by way of the penthouse.

Yea, there seems to be a Desync. Maybe it has something to do with the new implemented "Occlusion Culling" Option from U39?

I really shouldn't. That should only affect rendering and nothing else. That's not to say it doesn't since this kind of thing is exactly what eso specializes in.
