[Bug] [Update: fixed] Launcher is stuck at 45% but game still plays running client directly.

So I spent all day yesterday trying to update the game, with the launcher stuck at 43-45%. The only thing that would change is the rate of download would continue to decrease at a slower and slower rate. I was able to complete the install on a laptop without issue, both are Win 10 computers.

What I really find odd is that I can start the client directly and access the game as if the update had completed. I keep a shortcut to eso64.exe on my desktop, a practice I picked up in Beta, so usually when I forget to update, the game will tell me at log-in that my client is out of date.

Update, after the last update the patcher stalled out at 71%. Again I was still able to launch and play the game directly through the .exe. I should also note a play or repair button never appears, just a grayed out pause button I can't click. Hoping the new patcher update fixes this issue.

Patcher is still bugged, I'm actually playing the game now while it runs stuck at 15%. PTS is also stuck at 9%.

I have noticed what I think is a symptom of this bug. I have no voice over audio from Deadlands or newer, both overworld chatter and interaction. I still have voice NPC audio from Blackwood and earlier.

Update: fixed.

So I finally figured out to use the second widget icon labeled Game Option to cancel the update. I then tried to run a repair, but that kept freeze at 73% itself. I tried twice with the same result.

So I tried a test uninstall and reinstall of the PTS, and that seemed to work. It's a fix attempt I held off on till I have time because it I was afraid I wouldn't be able to play at all if it failed. It was easier than I expected unintalling and reinstalling from the launcher.

Unlike the PTS, however, it gave me a Repair button instead of the Play button after installing. Thankfully, the repair worked this time, and I'm happy to report all the audio is back. (Well except the Tales of Tribute lady is audible again)

This reminds me of the problem people had when their anti virus program was playing shenanigans with the launcher, I wonder if turning it off during the install would help you proceed.
