Templars cannot dps taleria. For 1.5 years now

    ive never had that problem on my templar, and thats the only good dps ive had until the arcanist came out lol

    i usually stand way way closer than you were in the video though, usually no further than the middle of center of the donut ring unless im actively trying to avoid dmging taleria (such as if we were cleaning up behemoth or mages before pushing boss into execute if we were skipping 3rd bridge)

    i watched your video, never had that problem and ive run vDSR enough to complete the gear collection primarily as a stam templar melee dps

    ive never normally stood that far from taleria unless im trying to avoid dmging her

    “Typically dont play with dmg numbers on. N wanted to see the distance here during an ultipull.

    U can light attack tal from anywhere on the land ring. However ur jabs will not hit her at all in the second half of the land nor will jesus beam. Idk if shes bugged like this for any other classes. 🤷🏼‍♂️”

    the only major bug i knew of with taleria and class skills was warden with subterannean assault/deep fissure as you basically almost had to be standing in the inner water pool in order for that skill to hit her

    like i said i never noticed a problem with templar because im never fighting her from that range, im usually stacked with group on the inner half of the ring and only go to the outer half of the ring for 2 reasons: deluge, or to avoid dmging the boss to burn adds (behemoth/mages)

    my response mentioning the warden was for the bolded statement here, warden has skills with issues targeting taleria

    doesnt matter if its "far" or "close" range its still the same issue

    Dagger light attacks are 7m range. Jabs are 8. Beam is 28. If light attacks work, so should jabs and beam. Idk how to dumb it down any further

    I just tested against a training dummy. I lined up so i was 28m away and then I backed up a few steps and while light attack animation displayed, no damage was done to the training dummy. Are you sure you were doing damage when beyond the 28m range? Did your logs show it? or were you just going by animation on the screen?

    The animation of a light attack makes it appear to travel 50m or more.
    Beyond 28m, the light attack does zero damage.

    I'm not sure there's a bug.

    Pretty sure you're just standing too far back. I have zero issues on my Stamplar on PC|NA. The reason you get some hits in at the back of the island is because shes spinning, once the spinning is over you don't get close enough to be in hit range.

    I think this is user error more so than a bug.

    Looks like Light Attacks connect further away than they should.
    Everything else seems fine, therefore the title is misleading. Templar can absolutely dps Taleria. You're just standing too far.

    Interesting observation regarding the light attack, though.

    It's not a bug. it's your gameplay style that's completely wrong. If after a year and a half you don't understand how melee skills, ranged skills and heavy attacks work, I suggest you start over from the tutorial and read the descriptions of the skills that the developers took the time to write.
