..to adjust your Champion Points in the blue tree to cater to the change, as the 'Biting Aura' (boosts area of effect damage) passive no longer applies.

'Master at Arms' (boosts direct damage) and 'Deadly Aim' (boosts single target damage) are the go-to slottables.
('Deadly Aim' works as all weapon heavy attacks are considered single target attacks).

Destruction staff passives:

Ancient Knowledge:
'This passive now increases your damage done with direct damage and channeled effects by 6/12%, rather than increasing your area of effect damage by 5/10%.'
