What happens to the 10s of thousands of items in my crafting bag?

They stay there until you use them. You can't add more and I think they get used first if you craft something.

Yep that's the gist of it! They do get used first for crafting, even if you have the necessary mats in your inventory they will be taken out of your crafting bag first. Also if you happen to take anything out of the bag (like to list on a trader), and change your mind, you can't put it back.

Also if you dont have summerset some other way than from eso plus you'd lose access to jewls and all that crafting...

Craft bag is fine but you really need to mind tidying up your bank before eso+ ends. Items do not get lost from overfull bank but one can't bank anything before making room for it which is rather annoying. Housing storage stays but fiddling separate chests is inconvenient. Also make sure you have all chests placed in Snugpod (or whatever small houses) before eso+ ends.

your Craftbag goes into "extract only" mode, so you do not lose anything, you just cannot add materials into the said bag.
moreover, it has priority over your bank and bag, so when you craft - the required materials are extracted from your Craftbag (if they are available there).
so it is a good idea to restock it during Free ESO+ trial weeks (which normally happen several times a year)

Also you keep your skills (TG, DB, Psijic) but losing access to appropriate zones you cannot level them up (if not maxed yet). You can progress ToT (but card upgrade clues in locked zones would be unobtainable). You lose the Jewelry Crafting ability if you lose access to Summerset.
And you keep all the cosmetics, loyalty rewards, dyed costumes, furnishing exceeding normal limits (though if you remove these "extra" furnishings you would not be able to add this back). You keep housing in locked zones. upon exiting you will be teleported to the location you have entered house from.

The house furnishing limit drops, but you lose nothing. So nothing more can be added, and if you accidentally put something away, you can't put it back out.

Thanks all. Good info. I've been playing since launch, but the horrible customer service has cooled off my gaming group to the game. That plus the fact that we can't get any end game stuff without being part of a large party -- 10? 12? is a problem. There are only 4 of us, and coordinating that is difficult enough. So we're moving on. Probably be back at some point because that's the way these things work.
