Sanity's Edge - Exarchanic Yaseyla frost bomb broken

Before Update 39, the selection of players for the frost bomb would exclude tanks who have an active taunt for either Yaseyla or the Wamasu and the one or two players closest to Yaseyla received the frost bomb.

With the update today, this behavior seems to have changed. Tanks now also receive the frost bomb and the distance to the boss seems to have no (consistent) effect on the selection as well.

Could you please clarify, if this new behavior is intended? I could not find anything in the patch notes that would indicate the change?

EDIT: I was made aware, that the Wamasu taunt never excluded a tank from getting the frost bomb but in our group he never was close enough to receive it. The problem with Yaseyla's taunt still remains though.

    For us, this happened in Veteran and Veteran HM and we already know of at least three other groups that had this problem.

    After the fight transitions to 2 frost tombs, the frost tomb seems to be prioritized on the Tank holding main boss and a person who is far away from the main boss.

    This is what we noticed in our MM prog tonight. Before it goes to 2 frost bombs the closest person seems to hold true. Once you get to 2 we saw either the main tank or farther people. We had a couple times both healers caught it as well.

    I am assuming this is a bug. But if not, a stealth change like this greatly affects our strats and being ready for resets to a major setback would not be cool. So clarification would be greatly appreciated if you can get that.

    We noticed other weird things tonight as well.

    We saw a couple weird portal selection processes on boss 2. And meteors spawning on Main tank in ansuul (but that might have been a bug before todays patch)

    Upon further evaluation, I can't say who is prioritized once two frost tombs begin to spawn. That said, the main tank and far away people can get a frost tomb, so something certainly has changed even if the tomb is completely random.

    @TKo_ROUSE , I too noticed some other weird things in the trial. A couple of times, I believe it was the 40% Wamasu, there was no breath aoe attack is per normal.

    I also don't believe that I should have been chain circuited on boss two when it was completely facing away from me. Granted, hard to tell if this issue is a one off or a new feature.

    Yaseyla stood still and completely stopped doing any mechanics during execute last night. We kill the 20% wamasu as it's just a HM prog not MM, and as it died she just froze in place. Didn't do anything until about 10 seconds before she died when she threw out firebombs once, and went into shrapnel. No clue what triggered it. I was streaming so I'll try to post clips later.

    It's really fun to have the frost tomb drop on the main tank with Yaseyla taunted.

    While all the Yaseyla bugs you listed are actual bugs, the Chain Circuit one is not. Chain Circuit targets are determined by the person who has taunt at the moment the ability goes out, not which way the Chimera is facing. It will hit the person with taunt and the closest 5 people to them regardless of anything else. This means there is a small window where someone can take taunt, but the Chimera doesn't have time to actually turn around before the ability goes out, where Chain Circuit will appear to hit all of the people behind it.

    U39 seems to have created more bugs than it fixed. Many groups are working on the HM and trifecta achieves in SE since that's all the "new" content we have and now we can't because of these new bugs from the patch that supposedly fixed bugs.

    Update: Definitely does not seem to be a rhyme or reason. We have had both healers get tombs, a healer tank, healer dps, two tanks when they have taunt (thats fun). Sometimes distance is close some time it is far. I can say for sure that it seems to only happen when it moves to 2 tombs.

    Our group is ready to start resets next week. Just pray we get good tombs on first boss is our best bet right now. Kind of sucks because it is a fight we could clear consistently with little risk of death pre execute. It is still possible but it became very rng heavy if we are going to no death or not. I am really hoping we don't have to wait until U40 to see this fixed.

    This is not true. Chain lighting will target the tank with active taunt, then the person closest to that tank (person 2), followed by the person closest to person 2, etc. It isn't the 5 people closest to the tank. Sure, it will be the 5 closest to tank if half the group backs up to guarantee it, but it doesn't target the 5 closest to tank.

    What's the status of the bug fix for this?

    Many groups have stalled progging the HM and trifecta at vSE because of this new bug, and players are leaving the game again because they think this is just ZOS ignoring game-stopping bugs again and not communicating about a fix. We have no new dungeons this quarter because we were promised bug fixes, but the only new content we have to prog (vSE) is now broken.

    Why are there so many new bugs in the update that was supposed to fix bugs?

    It just sucks so much that the new trial, AGAIN is bugged. Its demoralizing.

    Anyone who has been around a while can just point out this trend. I was hoping the "quarter of bug fixes" would finally break it. And no such luck yet.

    I'm not sure why they think it's ok to keep the game broken for this long.

    I'm not sure why they think it's ok to not give us updates on a fix so that we can at least keep teams interested.

    Because they prefer to fix nonsense things like missing a lead or if the Crow Store breaks down it's 1h and already fixed. How much does it already last one two weeks. It's hard to make a quick fix and fix a bug considering it's a New Trial and probably many teams are progressing it. ! But looking at the whole ESO period it will soon be considered a mechanic that it was supposed to be this way or we will wait until the next major Update and either manage to fix it or mess it up even more.

    We started resets this week. The bug definitely makes things more painful. Main tank and healers are getting ice bombs very often. Double healers too. We had to change strats to have arcanist dps run heal beam just in case. Either to help with double healer tombs or for extra help on main tank. This bug definitely caused us headaches though. Our first boss is pretty clean and it would add another 4-5 resets a session on first boss that could have easily ended in a clear if tombs were working.

    To say this issue is exhausting would be an understatement and I wouldn't blame teams for not wanting to prog this at the moment. We were so close before patch we figure we will just tough it out.

    Now I planned to take a break after this prog either way. I have done all the tris so I don't have much more to achieve in the scope of challenging content unless I want to score push. But with that said my last interactions with this game before my break have just been exhausting. Maybe I come back next year for the new trial after a good break. Maybe I don't. But having the one part I like about the game plagued by bugs definitely tells me to lean more to the later. Especially seeing this isn't like a one time thing. I have been playing for years and seen it over and over.

    It is just a shame though because this game really does fill a unique niche. The combat just clicks for some people and it overall is a great experience. But man being in the end gamer portion of the player base where we get less content and bottom of the barrel priority, just burns you out.

    They just keep hemorrhaging vet players every day with their lack of response, real bug fixes, and sense of priority. I'm gonna have to roster prog again if ZOS ever fixes this bug to replace the players they're angering. They're going to blame their reduced player numbers on the new games that are coming out right now, but their lack of bug fixes, lack of communication, the crown store gifting fiasco, etc etc etc, are also reasons why they're failing.

    This bug made our group cripple a lot. We are killing last and second boss occasionally no death but first boss is always chaos due to main tank getting ice. It is actually fine for main tank to get ice but if it overlaps with fire bombs it is chaos.

    I hope it get fixed today.
