Different icon for prolog quests

We already have a different icon for main quests, can we get a different icon for prolog quests?

I'm almost done leveling my Arcanist through questing and it gets a little overwhelming to sift through all of the prolog quests to stay focused on the base story quests.

I agree with your suggestion and I will add on icons that also different colors. Visuals are key to success especially with quests. It will make stuff more recognizable, keep it organized, and it will make it easier to tell differences.

    Indeed.

I don't want level requirements put on the prologue quests: I want them to LOOK DIFFERENT so that people can tell "This quest is not a Regular Sidequest which stays in the zone".

When I created my new Arcanist, I had forgotten how many prologue quests there were as I had completed them incrementally on my main. Just going into the mages' guild in Stonefalls, there were like 6 quest markers. It didn't help as I was looking for Abnur Tharn and there were 2 of him in the mages' guild.

I can see how this would super confusing for new players, if it was confusing me playing my alt.

Agree. This has been an egregious problem for quite some time now. On a new character, everywhere you go you are bombarded by quest marker icons and accosted by desperate NPCs begging for your help at every wayshrine. Wish they would just stop with that altogether actually and instead let the prequel quests be started exclusively via the crown store. Right now, the only alternative is to flood your quest log by picking them all up just to be able to take their markers off the compass and stop all the annoying NPCs shouting in your face.

in general, there should be different icons for the overarching main quests, the zone main quests, any quest which story takes place in this zone only and quests that eventually lead you somewhere else off of the beaten path

Was about to say the same. One of the MQ quests sends you to the mages guild to talk to Abnur. Even funnier is that he is in a mages guild robe because he doesn't want to attract attention to himself, while he is standing a few feet away in his regular attire.

One thought I just had was to let the prolog quests be grabbed any time from the store but wait until you have completed the main quest until they start showing up in game.

I think that is an excellent idea. The "main quest" needs to be an actual thing of more importance than it is - not something you can completely forget the existence of.
