Need some help getting ESO online to run

I played ES online originally near when it first came out. I bought the NECRONOM update in Steam yesterday. (as I already had the base game in my Steam library)
My PC has 3060 Nvidia graphics card, 16 Gbytes ram, Solid state harddrives.

1. Successfuly downloaded and installed ESO online in Steam and purchased in Steam the ESO online monthly subscription.

2 Logged onto the ESO website and tried to create the link to my steam account. I get the prompt to ogin to steam and I do. Steam then prompts me to press login again to acknowledge data sharing which I do. I am then returned to the ESO website where I get the "Error: There was a problem linking your account. Please try again later or contact support"

3 Started the game in Steam , the ESO launcher appears and when I press play the game does not open a window. I do see a subprocess when using task manager.

As part of trouble shooting I noted a link to steam from bethesda.net. I removed it. Tried again to link from ESO online website and failed.

I have contacted both ESO support and Steam support. ESO support has responded but no luck yet, My ticket number is 230818-005490.

thanks

Are you running ESO as administrator? That's something to check for sure.

After further review we have decided to move this thread to a category we think is more appropriate for this topic.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Hi Zos

Sorry for bothering you. Can you get someone to look into my probem ticket number 230818-005490.

It has notbeen updated since Friday. I have sent the requested information that they asked for.,

I think some of the probme may be that I played the game using bethesda.net originally which I forgot. I then purchased th stea addition a couple years ago and could not get it to work. Gave up. I bought the Necrom release and ESO prime member ship on steam.

Anyway I would greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide.

    thanks
