Why runeblades have only 22 meters?

I don't understand, why are the other spammables 28 meters and the arcanist's spammable is only 22? Is this because ''Fatecarver'' is also 22 meters? I find this a problem, especially in PvP...

yeah, ESO combat devs do not support ranged magicka spammables that work in pvp.

if you want to play ranged, you pretty much have to go bow, and even that pales compared to stamina/2h/DW.

It's really not that big of a problem. If runeblades were a further distance than Fatecarver, Fatecarver would feel bad to use as you'd have to move in closer to hit them first.

22m is still quite far. Arcanist is a mid range class, not a long range. If arcanist could chunk you from 28m away while also having 2 very strong shields, the class would feel bad to fight against.

Bad to fight against? You mean like Dragon knights and wardens? Lol

Exactly my point. Why would DK being oppressive right now justify having something else busted?

I only have issues with the 22 meter range when, in PvP, I can’t fight the players sieging because the keep is flagged and I am on forward camp cooldown. When this happens I can only light or heavy attack from the keep walls or roof.

Also when a player is trying to escape your attacks, it can be easy for them to get away since you only got 22m. Other than that I have no issues with it. It is a much better spammable than warden birds or necro skulls for sure.

Arcanist is meant to be a midranged class. That's all

& how exactly does mid-ranged work in ESO pvp?

It works like the Arcanist - that is to say, pretty effectively. Build in movespeed like a melee character would but stay out of melee range.

Use mistform to close the gap and add damage, but I stopped using when I could barely weave it with la from a wall or horseshoe.
