I doubt there would be a whole event around a single feature.

The closest you'll get is probably a High Isle event. The Chapter anniversary events usually show around Fall two years after the Chapter in question, so I'd expect a Legacy of the Bretons event in like November 2024 or so. Otherwise, you've also got the Anniversary event for the daily quest.

We should be getting Tribute endeavors starting next Update though.

The High Isle event last year didn't even let you earn event coffers or tickets from ToT games/dailies so I wouldn't hold my breath.

There should never be an event specific to ToT because it was merely part of a DLC/expansion and even then it was just added value. Events tend to highlight the DLC and its contents.

Ummmm, you contradicted yourself? Events highlight DLC and its contents, so like greymoor's dark heart of skyrim event, so why can't there be a say, Tales of Tribute tournament event or something where you go up against 3 players in a row in a tournament bracket competing for glory, getting rewards dependent on how far you get or something?

Endeavors based on ToT sound good though, i'm down for that & will give more motivation to play on some days.

They'd probably just include Tales of Tribute in the event tickets of a High Isle event.

With the fast burn and immediate cooling of interest in ToT by the playerbase, I doubt there'll be much done with ToT in the future outside whatever decks they had already started making when they were planning the card game. I expect those to dry up in a couple years as well.

all future chapters will have decks added + it's a lot more popular than you think, you can still find a match any point of the day and people do the work to get the decks.

    Greetings,

After further review we have decided to move this thread to a category we think is more appropriate for this topic, as it deals with Tales Of Tribute.

    Thank you for your understanding

It would be fantastic to see it treated like a battleground weekend- perhaps they have set deck choices, so it's the same 4 decks for the weekend.
Or different rewards, I'm not sure.

I think it could be really fun!

Personally, I'd rather they didn't because I think TOT runs into the same issue that several other areas of the game hit that it's too skill based and too hardcore. The massive winrate gap people are seeing based on their turn order really highlights how solved the game appears to be.

With that said, I think it's likely we'll see an event this year that also adds it to the base game.

Although I'd love an event where I could earn event tickets and event coffers each day by playing Tales of Tribute, I would not want to be anywhere near the forums during the event because there would surely be large masses of players having meltdowns and ranting about how they just cancelled their ESO Plus, deleted all of their characters, and uninstalled the game. And if I did dare to read the forums during the event, I'd probably die from eating too much popcorn or something.

    Unfriend them.

    Never I hope.

@ZOS_Hadeostry Moving this post to the ToT thread will cause it to only be seen by ToT fans and get unbalanced feedback. It would be better to leave it in General Discussion to get feedback from people who do and don't like to play ToT.

almost as bad of an idea as being forced to pickpocket for 1 box an hour if not in a guild (or have guild friends to join you) while others are getting 1 box per minute (or less) from farming world bosses in this event

I’m just ready for ToT to get the BG treatment and be made available to everyone. I’m sick of playing against the same 4 people over and over, and would much rather it be opened up as a base game feature.

Especially since it will be a recurring Endeavor after the next patch.

They have had community events that revolve around very specific parts of Chapters, but never ticket-style individual events. Like there was an event where the community had to dig up as many antiquities as possible, or kill as many dragons as possible. But once community met goal, everyone was rewarded, even if they didn't kill a single dragon or dig up a single antiquity. I could see something like that related to Tales of Tribute. But not an event where getting tickets was dependent on playing ToT.

I agree with the people who say that ToT isn't enough to have an entire event around all by itself, but as far as opening it up to everyone as a base game feature, I'm not sure how that could be done without making the High Isle zone free for everyone. I'm aware that some people have suggested letting anyone just walk up to the NPC opponents and play against them to help them learn, but that isn't the same thing as going through the tutorial in Gonfalon.

That's odd, I haven't gotten any hate whispers from the NPCs.

As for getting hate whispers from other players, that just means ToT has attained "real PvP" status.

Locking that feature behind a chapter was a very facepalm-y idea. It is a feature that benefits from having more people interacting with it.
They made the same mistake with battlegrounds when it was released, and the result is that it never got a sizeable population. When they released it to the "general public", the damage was already made.

i dont see that happening anytime soon, unless they entirely remove the tutorial requirement

the tribute tutorial specifically requires you to go to high isle, and is currently required to even be able to play the game on that character

so they would either have to make high isle free to everyone, or completely remove the tribute tutorial unlock requirement (which i certainly would not complain about either solution)

edit: also not to mention that the tribute dailies are only located in high isle, they would also need to be placed in other locations like the BG tents

Just one town per zone. And they already have ToT in one tavern per zone, so no change needed in that respect.

I don't like the idea of having it available to everyone, namely because of the people who'd just play a match for the daily and not even try at the game. Already have plenty of that or people surrendering because they didn't get matched with a friend or something; less of that, rubedite matches are where they should be, people play the game because they enjoy it and some people like myself even bought the expansion just for the card game to be serious at it.
