All I saw were suggestions for an optional, extra pve version of Cyrodiil, nothing about removing the pvp map.

And there we have the PvE player coming up as soon as PvPers ask for the most basic stuff ever that PvE players get every update.

Have I said anything about not wanting you to get any updates? I think the pvp and pve crowd should be treated equally and a bigger pvp update would be long-due, even if I personally don't need it. I know this game doesn't cater to me alone but to a big variety of different people.

How do you know if an ESO player hates PvP? Don't worry, they'll tell you.
No you didn't. I just assumed cause that is what most pve players in these forums are going to do.
Rarely ever get PvE players in pvp threads for other reasons than to complain.
Sorry if I misjudged you.
Just a thought, but can you imagine the outrage that you would see on the forum if they released a pvp only update?

Same goes for people who hate Tales of Tribute, obviously, as that was the original quote that I was humourously mirroring word by word in my reply (and that was the only reason I wrote it, actually I do even have friends who pvp, I just don't care for it myself) Interesting, that you took offence at my reply but not at the original.
That said: Yup, I don't care for pvp. Others don't care for pve or for housing or for Tales of Tribute. And that's fine. No one has to like anything. I find Tribute horrible boring, and fishing a waste of time, but who even cares?! I do mine, you do yours, plain and simple. I think it's weird when some people complain that others don't like their favorite activity. Like: Why would I be bothered by what other people don't do with their game?! It has no effect on my gaming experience. No you didn't. I just assumed cause that is what most pve players in these forums are going to do.

People just seem to love to complain. Everywhere in this forum. I saw people complaining about companions because "I don't need them!!!", complaining about antiquities because "I don't want that!!!", complaining about that card game, which I also find horrible, but, as I said: If others like it, fine with me. It's ridiculously silly how many people seem to be unable to accept that not everyone is like them and that not everyone likes the same things as them. Let alone that ZOS also gives other players attention and not them alone. I sometimes wonder how many people here have actually reached the minimum age required for registration, and suspect that some are as old as they behave: 12 at most.
Don't worry I wasn't offended. I just thought I'd add some humor to the conversation. It take a lot more than that to rile me up
I also don't really understand the mentality of players that want to get rid of parts of the game they don't like. I suspect it's because ZOS kind of forces us to at least dabble in parts that we don't like.

Fine then In this forum, you never know!I also don't really understand the mentality of players that want to get rid of parts of the game they don't like. I suspect it's because ZOS kind of forces us to at least dabble in parts that we don't like.
Which is, in my opinion, an extremely strange design decision. What advantage does it bring? There might be some players who try something new because of that and like it, but most will probably just force themselves through to get the reward they actually want/need, but still dislike the activity itself. Unneccessary frustration.

If ZoS provided balanced sets for that I’d be down!
I'd bet that ZOS' data shows that overall, the more aspects of the game players engage in the longer they stick around, which means more subscriptions and microtransactions. Sure, being forced firmly encouraged to participate in content we don't like may annoy us and drive us away from the game altogether, but sometime the opposite happens. For example, I used to hate 4-person dungeons because I hated having to research and memorize mechanics, and fear of being a burden to my groupmates gave me a lot of anxiety, so I basically never did them. The introduction of the Collections system, along with ZOS gating Antiquitiy leads in dungeons, triggered my completionist nerve hard enough for me to finally give them a whirl, and now I've collected probably half the dungeon stickers and do RNDs on a regular basis without a second thought.
YMMV though.
In my case the main problem probably is that, because I have only very limited time, I want to focus on things I actually enjoy doing. I've had a completionist mindset in the beginning, but with more and more achievements that seem like a hassle to me, it got clearer that I'll never get them all done anyway. I've done a few things I actually don't like much before, even had in mind to at least get the Tales of Tribute achievements (and rewards) before I stop playing it, but I've even given up that because it was so boring to me and I began to wonder why I would waste hours of my freetime for that, if I could so something more interesting instead. There was really nothing I did so far only to get its achievement or reward, that I came to like after trying. Either I already found the activity interesting, good rewards or not, then I did it. Or it's something that doesn't appeal to me, then rewards change nothing. It's a personal thing, of course; other people might enjoy a bigger variety of different things. I personally have a very clear opinion on what I enjoy and what not, including some hard dislikes.
I did just recently think about a medium scale PvP map where teams fight over a keep, though sounds like just another Battleground Map, which would still be welcome. They led us to believe the new BG Map packs would be a recurring thing.
...oh yeah also give us PvE Cyrodiil and Imp City.
