Yes, we actually just announced today that we are extending the Zeal of Zenithar in-game event by one day, changing the end date from August 8 at 10:00 AM ET to August 9 at 10:00 AM ET.

So why don't we get information like this in here, the official forums? Why is this always neglected? I don't care for any Social Media postings ever, give us the information where they belong to. Would be a good start for your "improved communication".

Yes, indeed, it was posted in the appropriate subforum.

Rather than General Discussion, where everyone looks.

Much more efficient this way, you know.

I look at all categories because there's a lot of stuff here to read and respond to on the forums besides general discussion. I also post in the category that best matches the topic of my post (rarely I make original post in general discussion but instead I mostly create comments).

I'll check news and articles category more often. Thanks 😊

Look at the category and tell me you're there on a regular basis, i bet you're not. This belongs in General Discussion as it's an announcement regarding the whole queue incident which is present there.

    Actually, it's not.

    I just looked there.

It is, instead, in the Events & Contests subcategory under the Community grouping. About halfwa down on a desktop page. Lord knows how far on mobile.

It's not that much of a scroll here on the forums even on mobile. Also the way the forums are set up there is pages instead of never ending scrolling and its very organized, which is very satisfying for me. I feel calm and enjoyment while using the forums.

On social media it takes literally all of eternity to scroll through stuff and then I still wouldn't find it. That's why I'm no longer on social media because it's annoying.

Thanks. For the record, though, the inability to login lasted longer than a day. For me, it started when the event started, and I got in on I think Sunday. The symptoms were different (immediate error on the first couple days, login queues on Sunday). That combined with the low drop chance of the various collectibles will make it rather unlikely to collect "all the things" (at least for me).

Regarding communication. I really wish ZOS would send out these types of notifications as a splash screen in game like they do when an event starts. If that were possible. Since not everyone uses social media or a console and does not have easy access to a computer to look at the forums.

While we are at it, I really wish they would publish patch notes in the game that we could read, say under the help section. Also, a splash screen when they are first published to give everyone a heads-up. Never liked the fact that you have to go outside the game to see what has changed. Surely it would not take up a great deal of space to publish the notes in the game.

    Stay safe :)

I use the Recent Discussions tab, so I see it pinned at the top with all the other ZOS threads.

I do agree General Discussion would've gotten more attention from people who don't use Recent or the Dev Tracker. (Easy access to Dev Tracker on Mobile, when?)

If you guys can't even put up *anything* saying that you're looking into the issues, something seriously has to change. That starts with the decision makers. You guys need to make your voices heard internally and they need to put down their ego. Your reputation can only take so many hits. Just look around the MMO space.

This is why a forum isn't the right place to communicate on these things, just make a centralized news feed on the website from which to post to different channels (when needed with different flavors).

A statuspage wouldn't hurt either, a lot of this stuff can be automated.

I do get why ZOS posts this stuff on social, some people read the forums, but I'm sure most people are on social or other channels anyway.

Just post it somewhere ingame. If we can get a banner thing to show us what's for sale, they can also show us communication.

I think the main issue with this incident is that in the past when something of such magnitude was occurring, there would be a red-banded banner saying that you were aware of it - potentially with a thread containing further updates or information.

To be fair I remember seeing a red band on Saturday when things got bad. What didn't happen (for me at least), nothing similar was done on Sunday, which for many people was worse,

Didn't know that, thank you @ZOS_GinaBruno! why not just update that and refer everyone there? Saves the time updating all the banners and social channels, or automate it (if that's not the case yet 😊)
