These queues are out of control.

I shouldn't have to wait 25m to play a game that I pay for. I pay extra for ESO+ so I'm not taking up space for free. Also, I work a lot so it's rare I get time to play the game. When I have to sit around for 25m waiting to login, that's 25m I don't get to play on the rare occasion I actually do. If this problem continues I'm just going to cancel my ESO+ membership and uninstall the game. If ESO really wanted to bring on a bunch of new players, then they should've made sure they have the infrastructure to handle it before doing so.

I honestly think it goes much deeper than new players, or only new players. I say this as the queues have made it to Playstation-NA now, too, and apparently Xbox ss well. AFAIK, the Epic giveaway was PC only. If I am incorrect in that, I apologize, and please correct me.

Granted, the queue for me is either almost instantaneous, or, I get an error message and no login.

Sounds like, to me at least, there are multiple issues at play here.

went to login at noon my time (U.S. Pacific) and the queue was over an hour...totally ridiculous.

Yep, they are nuts. They ended my Thread, this one will end to. They sure hate people who complain. I am on another queue of an HOUR!
I do hope they do the right thing and shut it down to fix it. If this continues into the next week, i am considering closing out my account for good.

1 hour 37 minutes for me 2:22 CST USA.

Basically the PCNA is down for me.

And by chance if I am near my PC an hour and half from now, odds are high I will get the server error message at the end of the queue.

My first attempt to log in was a 2 hr queue. After trying to close the launcher, it crashed. Logged back in and it's now a 45 min queue.

Never before did I have to wait for 1 hour or even longer before I could log in. A free trial weekend or not.
And I too pay for eso plus and have a full-timre job. I really sympathize with the OP. It is ridiculously long for a game I pay a monthly fee for. If it is not resolved soon, I at least cancel my subscription. I can handle all the expensive crown stuff, the fact they cater more to new player instead of the long term players, the downtime during holidays, etc etc. But at least let me instantly play the game I pay for.

And otherwise I am really happy that Baldur's Gate 3 is coming soon
