Undaunted keys RNG is a joke

Spent 110 keys on a box that has a 1/6 chance of getting the shoulders I wanted and got everything else except the piece I need. To claim that these vendors aren’t rigged is laughable.

Now I gotta go through the painstaking process of grinding all 3 pledges on all of my toons every single day until I get lucky.

RNG in ESO is just plain horrible and disheartening. And it's not as if they're giving away anything of cash value either.

ZOS seriously needs to reevaluate how stingy their RNG is in every aspect and for everything in game. It's OK to give some rewards to your paying customers ya know. Better RNG would increase player satisfaction with the game and people have been saying this for years now.

Equally but the other way around, I bought 3 boxes and back to back got the item I needed in each weight. Then again after experiencing the WI flag years ago (look it up), anything is better than that. I've not trusted computer based pseudo RNG since then.

Finding a group that’s willing to grind all pledges on multiple toons these days is increasingly difficult so we have no choice but to trust dungeon finder and sometimes fake tank to hurry it up.

Keep the system as is, 5 keys for a chance to get the one you want but please for the love of Merida allow us to buy the exact one we want for like 20, 30 or even 50 keys.

I love making new builds, trying new things out but I am constantly being held back by the shoulder. Always the shoulder.

Every aspect of ESO that depends on RNG is created to avoid better chances and lead the player to spend money in crowns or simply grind endlessly. I'm trying to get the all "Forest Spirit" leads for 5 months and still didn't finished.

Not to mention the HUGE money maker "Las Vegas" crown crates.

Idk if ZOS system favor veterans, is simply greedy or simply is extremely unfair, but the fact is: ZOS need to change this.

Because most players pay a lot of money to play ESO, and give us more opportunity is not "for free". There is no "free" gifts in ESO. We pay for all of them one way or another.

Opening a box is 5 keys.
110 keys is thus 22 openings. You're indeed very unlucky,, and I'm sorry, but statistically, it's quite possible for you not to have found what you sought.

The game is not necessarily rigged.
Some people find what they seek on the first try, wich is also statistically unlikely.

Everyone will have a horror story about rng (me included .. two leads proved exceptionnally difficult to get, far beyond what should have been), but the truth is that we fall prey of statistics. The rng in this game is rather forgiving if we compare it to that of other's.

I think you're complaining about RNG being actual RNG when you want the opposite of RNG in the form of curated drops.

The monster shoulders need to be curated. When you're spending over 200 keys and still not getting the piece you're after, something is broken.

I don’t know man, had the exact same issue the last time I sought a particular shoulder, got everything except the one I wanted. I can’t help but lean towards the rigged side. The game knows what you want and just refuses to give it lol

It is about a 1-in-50 chance to not get a 1-in-6 item after 22 attempts. Is 1-in-50 bad luck? Yep. But it is not statistically significant bad luck. In a game with millions of players engaging in what are probably billions of RNG rolls, it is absolutely expected. I think the problem is that the boxes are overpriced. 5 keys for what is about an 83% chance at failure is rather steep.

Well I spent 50 keys on a 50% chance to get the shoulder I wanted (any weight) and never got it. That is 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 x1/2 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 x1/2 x 1/2 = 1/1024 chance. This isn't RNG the system is BROKEN!

Need curated drops on the key shoulder drops. Then there is some randomness, but you don't get screwed over by it if you happen to be very unlucky.

These drops could use a sticker book treatment with a gurantee. However I just buy random boxes when mask styles are out and happen to have all dlc shoulders. The ones from base dungeons are the problem for me, because I still have some missing and these styles don't re-release often.
You can still buy them from golden vendor when they're there though.

I don't think there should be curated drops for the undaunted chests.
Keys would become virtually useless, and dungeon population would suffer.

I'm sorry for those with a streak of bad luck, I really am. But they simply are statistical outliers. I know it does not make it better.
The same people got lucky in other endeavous. It's the nature of the RNG.

After doing 150 keys and not getting what I was after, I stopped doing RNDs and pledges altogether.

I'll do a dungeon once for a skill point and story, then no more.

I wear either old armour I already have, crafted armor, or guild trader saleable gear.
