Setting a Guild House?

Do you need a minimum amount of players in the guild?
Cannot, for the life of us, work out how to have a guild house.
Does it need to be a larger house, or will a small one do?
Tried Googling it, and haven't found a single helpful thing.
This is on console, so following a pc guide doesn't work, nor setting up an addon that sorts it.
Tried looking in the house settings. Tried looking in guild settings.
Love the shiny "press x to travel to guild house" on other guilds I'm a member of, but can't work out how to do it on my own.

There are no "guild houses". The houses that have been used as guild houses are one of the many player houses. Typically it belongs to the guild leader but could be one owned by an officer.

That said, if there is some sort of option for a guild to designate a specific player's house as the "guild house", I have not seen it as I have never had the pleasure of having that much authority within a guild.

Each house has a population limit. The larger the house, the better as more players can enter as well as more crafting stations and decorations can be used.

Above post answers most everything. No guild owns a house. The house would be bought by and belong to a player in the guild, hopefully the GM or a high-ranking officer since if the “guild house” owner leaves the guild, the house goes with them - it belongs to the person who bought it, not technically the guild.

The shiny button you see in MOTD (Message of the Day” in guild menus where you click a button to travel to it is put in there by whoever has permissions to edit the MOTD or the About Us section of guild info. If you are the house owner, stand in your house and go into the housing editor menu. Bottom right of screen gives prompts for linking house in chat or sending house link via in-game mail. Do the mail option because that opens a mail. Go to edit the mail and there is the “code” for the house entry link. Copy that code (by hand, probably, for console - been a while since I linked mine so don’t remember if copying was easy) and put that code into About Us or MOTD. That makes a clickable link to travel to that house.

You can actually list several houses that way, such as furniture store houses, etc. Also don’t forget that whatever house you want to make the guild house, make sure guild actually has permissions to access and interact in your housing permissions menu.

We were having trouble working out where to get the code, but worked out that I needed OH to look at his message (he's the one with the house we wanted). If he sent the message to me we had no idea how to get the link.

Guild Hall is a Grand Title for the humble Snugpod
It does come with a banker and shop, transmute station, armoury, outfitter and the basic crafting stations for dailies. Set over 2 floors!
Proper Guild Halls are for Everyone else, this one is just a family affair

Well, with the all-in-one attunable crafting stations coming out later this year, ANY house should work out as a guild hall now. From the sounds of it, you'll just need the four tables and can feed new styles into it as you attain them, if that's your wish, rather than these industrial warehouses of 400+ tables our huge guild halls have had to accommodate in order to offer quick, easy crafting for the master writ extraordinaires out there.
