They actually do not need to be next you - I was doing boss somewhere on the map, and guildie was in town far away, but no idea about different zone

My experience thus far is that I have not received a single event box unless my guildmate was nearby. We were farming dolmens earlier and she left to decon and craft some new training gear and I got zero drops while she was away.

The easiest way to get multiple event coffers (purple) is to do ONE of each type of master writ. You can turn them all in and you WILL get all your Zenithar's coffers (up to 7 from master writs per day per account). This is in addition to ONE coffer (total per day per account) from daily crafting writs. So there is no cooldown on getting the purple coffers specifically, although you may be hitting a cooldown on being able to get loot from certain world events? I know there is a loot cooldown on named bosses... not sure if this ties in to your current activity.

In the Witchmother event, where you can get loot coffers from bosses, it's possible to complete rounds of (normal) Maelstrom Arena in less than 3 minutes and then NOT get a loot coffer (if you just got a coffer from the previous round). It might be interesting to see if there is some similar mechanic limitation that you are hitting at present, built into the Zenithar event code checks - since World Events normally ALWAYS give loot.

Tried getting them via arena runs with guldies and I got 0 boxes total, so somethings broke

In my experience:

• There is a 5-minute CD on parcels from Dolmens (as confirmed).
• There is NO cooldown on world bosses.

Yesterday I joined a guildmate in Alik'r to farm dolmens and experienced the 5-minute CD. I set a timer to track it and went off to kill world bosses in the zone. I could kill 3 in the 5 minutes between dolmens and got a parcel every single time.

I did this on loop for at least half an hour, no world boss failed to drop a parcel.

If you want parcels, farm world bosses. You can hit 40-50 parcels an hour like old Harrowstorm days, and you can pick any zone to do it in to cut down on crowding. AND since world bosses are on fixed 5-minute respawn timers you can clock them precisely.

I'did some harrowstorm farming with guildie (both at same zone) and parcel drops did not seem to be affected if other was not present during the fight seconds. Felt more like RNG drops than timer. Got a pile of parcels but contents were disappointing. I'm not going to bother farm more.

To follow up on this, it appears that being in the same zone is good enough, however being in separate zones or being grouped with a guildmate who is offline, will NOT work.

I tried pickpocketing and I got one box in 30m or so. Odds don't seem great.

Kevin is correct in this. I grouped up with a guildmate and we killed Ozzacha in Stonefalls for their weekly endeavor. Every single kill we had while grouped resulted in a Zenithar's Delightful Parcel being placed into our inventory.

Edit. Cool down on World events is a thing. Maybe because an unlimited number of people can loot it unlike WBs.

depends on the "world event". dolmens- there's a max cap on people that can loot the "boss".

ive also killed world bosses with a guildmate and not gotten an event box.

the description in the event announcement is bs.

That's strange. Earlier this afternoon, I got 62 boxes in under two hours. Only once did a box not drop for me.

There is a cooldown on normal loot though. This event appears bugged, or intentionally buffed on event boxes because of the writ nerf, that's all, just wait until Witches Festival, it'll be this same thread all over again.

These events are ruined by unnecessary timers and cooldowns.

I don't play anything that requires me to grind. That's just not fun. It's supposed to be a game FFS.

WB Gave a min damage of 3%. Generally in a full group, someone will be left out. Small groups are best.
