Zenithar Event event drop rate is low for motif pages

The current event has the purple caches which are dropping from Dragons when slaughtered with Guild mates. So far, so good.
But it also has a 3-5 Minutes long cooldown so you only get 1 cache every 2-3 dragons.
And now I have opened about 12 caches without a single motif page and the trend is the same on other guildies as well.
So do you think, they lowered not only the drop rate of caches but also the motif page drop chance?

Plus they added more style pages than ever to an event… With 16 pages to collect and the new limitations on crafting dailies, I was expecting at least one guaranteed one with the golden box, but nope…

I guess it's to push people into the Crown Store (together with the new gifting promotion), but at least in my case – for someone spending a three digit number on this game a year – this is alienating, not pushing me to buy more…

Crafter Players : <Spend many thousands in materials and gold to do many 100s of dailies on all their crafters and sealed writs on grand master crafter primary characters that know >100 motifs and 9 traits, and get many many boxes filled with reasonable goodies> "Huzzah! finally crafters have something special that focuses on them! This one loves this game!"
Devs: "Oh wait. We did not intend for crafters to have such delight in event celebrating crafting god. Is not fair to 110k dps folks who don't know how to swing hammer. Now only get many boxes by grouping and killing big monsters, in the name of crafting and trading god. If you cannot get sufficient tickets, SPEND MOAR MONEY IN CROWN STORE!"

Is perfectly rational, yes?

I’m so glad I don’t like the egg tender outfit style and the new weapon styles, but I’m sorry for those that do and may miss out on getting them because of the too low drop rate and hope they adjust it. I would always rather we have too many style pages flooding the market at low prices instead of a few style pages priced at horrible exorbitant amounts that put them out of reach of most players. ZOS should really put reasonable price caps on those, or at least sell the bound ones for BOTH gold at a reasonable price AND event tickets on the Impressario during the event. That would at least keep the prices low on player-sourced unbound pages DURING THE EVENT, after which players could sell the unbound ones higher if they so choose since they would be unavailable anywhere else.

I do like the new Passion Dancer costume so that’s all I need tickets for from this event.

16 new gold pages, 13 days of the event, 1 gold page per day per account. You CANNOT farm them all yourself if you only have one account.

That's really crappy. Really really crappy.

As far as I'm aware, this is the first event you are statistically unable to farm all the gold style pages yourself. You had to be unbelievably lucky for the last few events, but it could be done. Is that accurate? This is NOT a good direction, ZOS.

I thiiiiink that Daedroth costume from Jesters Festival was the first “impossible to get without multiple accounts or shelling out money at traders” thing, but basically yeah.

IF you even get one page per day. I didn't get any from today's boxes, and I didn't have enough tickets to buy one. So... it's worse than bad, if RNG chance is very low.

And sadly, I want the pages, because I like the styles. I could live without mace or axe style, but it's still a lot to collect.

You can get atleast one of each style page per day.I got one of each today.It's all about rng,and probably next day or so might not get any.

Basically the rewards are really disappointing to say the least. Over 40 boxes only 1 of the new Style pages (in the very first box). Got 3 old style pages, and lots Recipes, Maps, and Mats. The worst is 9 bound Vault keys, Why are these Bound?

Difficulty getting any members in my 5 Guilds to group. Would be much better to just group with any player, and not just guild members.

Most likely done trying to get any extra boxes, going to just get the one daily Box. Then play something else.

Which old style pages did you get? The event announcement didnt mention old styles being available.

They did this was bad but even worse we cant even get a least 7 boxes by doing daily craft ,thats how i did alot gold last year event and also doing master writs, but this event was a blow to me can only 3 boxes if you are not in group plus the drop rate is very low ,the only good think is the 10% discount thats it

My guildies have barely been on luckily my other accounts are proving useful in regards to style pages no motifs yet though, i do wb area dailies in select areas for the motifs and plans.

Yep, it's very telling that as soon as the event starts the event ticket promotion also gets introduced... The small number of tickets, the increased number of style pages, the non-guaranteed drops, the nerf of the methods to farm boxes, the cooldowns, and the expanded loot table containing the older styles, are all by design to push crown event ticket sales.

What I don't like about Zeni's direction regarding events is it feels like the spirit of events has been warped and changed entirely. I started playing ESO in 2017, and events back then were mostly fun ways of earning in-game cosmetics and goodies such as motifs and recipes. There were no tickets. All you had to do was complete certain activities during the event and get your coffers. It definitely felt like the devs appreciated the playerbase.

Was it 2018 or 2019 that they added the ticket system for events? I believe that's where the spirit of events started changing. I'm sure they wanted more participation in events, and what better way to incentivize said participation by offering the only earnable, at that time, mount in game? It started out innocent enough. Do this once a day, get your tickets, buy your mount.

But the introduction of these event tickets is the problem entirely. You don't feel rewarded anymore. You have to jump through hoops to even get at the event rewards. Earn your 3 tickets per day, plan how you're going to spend those tickets because gotcha, we don't let you hoard them! You lose tickets if you go over the cap. No more grinding out coffers to avoid the ticket system because there's a hidden timer for style page drops. Not even a style page from opening my first and only sublime coffer of the day.

This ZOZ event was one of the last few events that actually felt fun and rewarding. But oh the event team had different expectations and put a limit on the coffers. Putting restrictions on events is just plain bad and the tickets are already a restriction. Why should I have to earn yet another in-game currency to buy event rewards? I'm at the point that I wish ZOS would make ESO subscription only. I feel like the predatory practice of FOMO is everywhere to make the non-ESO+ subscribers fork over their money in some way.

TL;DR- I'm tired of event tickets. ZOZ event coffers received a very bad nerf. Burn it all down. 🤪
Edited to add- 16 style pages across 13 days of an event was an extremely shady decision. We're already battling RNG and a timer when opening coffers, why not make a guaranteed style page drop once per day?

So far I have earned or purchased (with in game gold) every event style page. I've gratuitously participated in every event every year so far. But the inability to get the style pages with this event is so far out of reach that I feel cheated. I'm just not going to participate in future events now or even try for the style pages anymore now. The "rewards" for this event are just too lackluster to make it worth the time. Rather than encouraging me to play more this event is encouraging me to play less. I've earned over 20 boxes so far and not a single style page dropped.

Ya, the style pages are so out of reach to obtain this event it seems like most people just aren't even going to try. Thus decreasing desire to participate in the event.

New style pages are now not appearing as fast they were in the first two days. It have been 2 hours before I got one of them in just one account.
