Possible Honest Toil bug

The News article makes it sound like you can do it several times per day but I can only do it once on my character.

Dailies are usually once a day for a character. In this case I suspect it means if you do the daily quest on other characters on your account you will get a purple box after getting your one golden box on a character

that doesn't sound very fair. don't you always get the better reward box in events when any character completes the needed task for the first time that day regardless of if it was completed on another character already?

to me, that announcement sounded like they were doing it like they did Whitestrake's and you could effectively repeat the quest indefinitely.

No usually your first 'whatever needs to be done' for the day is also linked to the tickets, so whitestrakes was your first quest in cyrodiil and imperial city, its just all the other boxes were also gold. That NPC only has one daily quest, so you can't do it multiple times on one character unlike for example the quest giver in the manor house in Bruma that has (I think) 6 dailies

what about Jester's then? don't you get another gold one when you do it on another character?

Honestly don't know. I only do the bare minimum in that event to get my tickets for the day as its not an event i enjoy

You only ever get 1 of the gold boxes for any event once per day per account. It is only the normal boxes that usually have multiple chances of dropping.

nope

when they started doing the gold boxes, its only been 1 gold box per day per acct, no matter how many characters are used

anyway. it's not really about the gold one. the wording of the news article just made it sound like you could do the honest toil several times. but it said nothing about having to do it on another character.
"During the event, the first time you complete the daily quest each day, you receive a Zenithar’s Sublime Parcel box as a bonus reward. Each subsequent completion of the Honest Toil quest during that same day rewards you with a Zenithar’s Delightful Parcel box."

It’s a daily quest though (can’t remember if the quest marker was blue or not), and you can only ever do a daily quest once per character.

It’s a daily quest though (can’t remember if the quest marker was blue or not), and you can only ever do a daily quest once per character.

Agreed, which means the wording of the description of this reward makes perfect sense. Obviously, you can't repeat a daily quest within 1 day unless you do it on multiple characters.
