Is it time to unbound transmuted trial set pieces?

Hey all, just wanted to get your thoughts on the idea for the following:

Idea: To unbound transmuted items from trials etc and enable them to be traded with the caveat they can then only be used if the recipient of the item already has the piece unlocked in their collection log

Why do I personally want this? Coming from the Xbox EU server, I help to run 4 different trial groups in a week. We've done all HMs excluding VCR+3, VRG and VDSR but currently progging those with more success each week. Personally I have also got IR as off tank and unchained as a tank on console and help run 3 guilds. In those guilds we do all types of content, PVE, Overland, Trials etc and have a lot of members that are parents; including those with a lot of other responsibilities outside of the game.
This has meant members can't attend trials each week and don't have much time to farm sets/generate gold on our server to get support sets last minute for a trials and I would like to be able to have the sets as a backup for other members

Why not get more members?
The population on our server not be the strongest at the moment and that has meant getting into endgame content has a bit more challenging for a new player to catchup with sets etc; so getting more DDs into the guild that are fully kitted sometimes isn't an option as a lot of the other experienced players have been in their 5 guilds for a long time and it's difficult to leave a community you have been in after so long, even if that guild only has 20/30 active members; I think a lot of people can relate to that in these forums.
You also don't see many players on my server; even less that are under CP 1000 and there are only a few guild applications a day to mournhold trader guilds; with grayhost only getting 1 bar each for the factions due to the server giving 307s or the delay makes it unplayable if the population gets to 4 bars in total. I get that we are due server upgrades still and I understand that might take time, but it's still had such a negative impact, especially after having two whitestrakes whilst our server had not been upgraded

What about the transmutes? Personally I'm happy to lose them and not get them back, I understand that there would be the risk of the recipient just then deconning the items for the transmutes, but I think ZOS could implement a way for the game to detect who crafted the item and prevent them from being transferred this way and not abused. I also think it could leads to situations where you could have a different member craft a separate piece for the group

Do people also think this would have a negative impact on the trial community in terms of numbers participating? I don't come across many players that would rerun a trial to get a piece they already have unlocked, but don't know if there is a bit subsection of the communities on other servers.

Hope everyone is having a good day!

Do you think groups would use the system to require people to pay for gear for other players?

Doesn't this only mean that the recipient doesn't need to use their own mats for the reconstruction?

Still need to have got the item in the first place.

But then... What's the point? If you already have the set unlocked, why do you need someone else to trade it to you? People that don't have the set for their build generally don't have the whole set unlocked, or the pieces they need. And those that do already generally have the set unless they're doing a build that doesn't use it. I don't see any logic here aside from letting someone else use their transmutes to make gear for you, which is kinda the opposite of what Transmutes are for.

If they made dungeon and trial sets just tradeable in general, it would open up the game way more than this suggestion, in how people approach doing builds. Of course this would get rid of the incentive of running certain dungeons. I don't think this is a good idea either, even if I'd personally like it.

I don't like the idea but I can see a point to it. If I have the entire set and the other player only has say the armor pieces it would cost a lot less transmute for me to make the items.
The reason I don't support the idea is I see it as a way to get around having to do content that provides the transmute stones. The transmute and sticker book system already made getting specific gear much easier. Doing the content for the stones is part of making sure players participate in a variety of activities and that is good for the game.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

This isn't really practical or useful, feels like it would cause more problems than solve them.
