How are you liking your new Arcanist characters?

I don't have a lot of alts, so I decided to make Arcanist characters who belong to races I had the fewest-- or no-- characters of yet.

On PC EU, I went with a Bosmer Arcanist, because I had no Bosmer characters yet. He's a Magicka Damage Dealer who uses a Destruction staff, and I've been having fun practicing LA weaving on him. I normally play with Stamina Melee characters who use Two-Handed weapons and HA weaving, so this is a bit of a change for me.

Today I decided to take him to Cyrodiil to get the Continuous Attack passive for its boost to Mount Speed, and decided to earn 3/3 Daily Endeavors while I was there.

Complete 2 quests-- done during basic training.

Read 2 lore books-- also done during basic training, in the scroll temple.

Kill 2 dangerous foes-- done during a Scouting Mission, when I was attacked by some guards.

Best of all, while I was riding to my Scouting Mission and stopping to harvest resource nodes, I found a Lost Imperial Notes! I already know it on my main, so now I can upgrade this recipe to the next higher version.

On PC NA, I went with a Dunmer Arcanist, because I had no Dunmer character on that server yet. He's a Healer, which is a role I've not played much, so this will be an interesting learning experience.

Alas, he didn't find a Lost Imperial Notes in Cyrodiil, but he did get a larger amount of Transmute Crystals in his Rewards for the Worthy.

One thing I noticed while taking these two characters through the Tutorial in the Balfiera Ruins was that you can find some nice blueprints and things there.

Anyway, I've been having fun on my two new Arcanists. How about you?

I'm loving it! 'Capt. Peach' is a fiery red-headed Nord pirate based on the 'Anne Bonny' character from the tv series 'Black Sails' with a 'Cephaliarc’s Flail' tentacle arm like Davy Jones.
I've followed Hack the Minotaur's 'Crux Cannon' build and now she's a powerful Stamina Arcanist, one of my most flexible and strongest characters yet.

I plan on buying her the 'Fair Winds' ship house as soon as it's available.

I love mine. Fun no matter which version, mag or stam, and so far no trouble staying alive.

I have two MagArcs; both Breton.
And four StamArcs; Dunmer, Bosmer, Nord, and Redguard.

i think ill like it better when i find a better build for it --- just got it fully leveled two days ago but its super squishy

I really enjoy playing my Arcanist; it’s a nice change of pace from my other healers. The buffs are nice and the gameplay unique although I wish they didn’t make any of the post launch changes to crux speed or duration.

I play more than 40 bosmer girlies, mostly mag based. Perfect for solo content like farming worldbosses.
The stam passives help to kite and block, and the penetration passives allow you to get the minimum of 7-8k you need for such bosses.

This one loves his two new Arcanist Khajiit. Stamdps and Magdps, both are formidable in both pve and battlegrounds. Khajiit also likes their delightful green glowy lightshows and tentacled shennanigans. 10/10

I'm having fun with my argonian arcantank. I've decided to follow the ingame recommended tank build just for the fun of it to see how it fares against Necrom World Bosses and yeah it's good. I'm running around with the new crafted companion set and the heavy overland from Telvanni Peninsula and I'm unkillable when I have my shield up. I do notice a slight eye fatigue when I play on my arcanist, but tweaking my monitor's settings a bit helps. Fun class. Very tanky. I like. very different from my squishy NB.

Tonight I went to the Tel Var General Merchant to get the dissertation which upgrades the recipe-- and it was 10% off because of the Zenithar event! Woohoo, great timing!

Now if I could just find the recipe (again) on PC NA while the event is still on.

I'm over it. Everything revolves around fatecarver and it gets repetitively boring.

Its okay. But as the Poster above me said, its way too shoehorned into Crux and Fatecarver. 90% of all Skills are useless to an Arcanist. Gets boring fast.

It's been a struggle. Getting him to level 50. Finding one build that I can actually enjoy playing. Writing a backstory. Making him a home. Doing his horse training. He's cost me millions in gold.

I was just starting to really enjoy playing the character, about 4 quests into the Necrom main quest, and then a lot of the NPC's lost their voices.

So he's benched until U39 at least.

Ive been running around getting a bunch more skyshards for mine because although its only a crafting alt maybe ill get some lines open making it a little useful. Cant stand fatecarver so i have an already gimped arc 😆, but we will figure something out and make it work.

Works pretty good for PvP group support, solo PvP not so much.

I've definitely warmed up to her! I had a hard time with her at lower levels with sustainability. Now that she's champ level, I don't think anything can stop her!

ive been enjoying my arcanist so far

i went with a wood elf too (since i also didnt have a wood elf toon), but the extra penetration passive stacks great with the herald tree passive of more penetration

im actually using a bow with a medium armor build, so im sitting at almost 8k penetration in full medium armor (if i were to use a sharpened mace i could get to almost 15k pen in full medium armor)

i pretty much fully stacked into using the beam, and i decided to use 2 cost reduction glyphs so the beam is 100% free to cast (its great in some content that drains resources when soloing, even if i have no mag or stam i can still beam away lol)

Noooo it's not super squishy.
Impervious rune ward is awesome!

I'm loving my stam Arcanist!
I love PVPing with her.

She's a poison sniper bow build with Sheer Venom and destruction staff back bar for weakness to elements.
The Arcanist passive "psychic lesion" is fantastic.
No beam required. All crux is reserved for impervious rune ward.
I've dueled 1 on 1 with dragon knights and can actually win.
Impervious rune ward tanks so much damage. Use 3x swift jewelry and you're ready to go.

Shes an imperial all pretty in pink.

Not bad so far but I haven’t done much beyond leveling. I am finishing off guild skill lines now and hunting skyshards.

I usually play a bosmer stamblade, but went with a Nord this time to build onto the tankiness of the Arcanist shields. Not so nimble anymore but who needs to roll around when your giant can tank with their face? And I like the extra ultimate generation, kind of like having minor heroism, to get more tide king gaze
