Game is generally super heavy on a million dailies, log-in rewards, endeavors, writs, events, tickets, crates, etc. The amount of stuff is honestly just too much, tracking it all is a nightmare, and there are no tools to make it easier. At least none that the game provides. Of course one could try to keep excel sheets, and some do, but that is yet another time investment WE have to be making ourselves and partially outside of the game.
Love ESO, one of my favorite MMOs, but some of those systems are closer to korean p2w slop or mobile gachas than to other western MMOs. Which I'm really not a fan of. Thankfully I belong to the group of people who just... ignore most of it nowadays. I don't care if running all that stuff on 50 alts would get me more gold, I just kind of don't care at all really, often not even enough to do it on my main. That said, I imagine getting Zenimax don't actually want players to stop engaging with this kind of "content" as that would lead to an overall decrease in engagement with the game. Which means less ESO+ sales. Less active players daily. Etc. So I think advising others to not fall for the FOMO is not really a longterm solution, even if it will help individual players enjoy their game sessions more.
