Is... Is this a reference to the flame atronach copypasta?

For context, there's a quest in Blackwood where a guy falls in love with a daedra he summoned.

Google 'Flame atronach copypasta' at your own peril- I won't link it here as it is NSFW but it is hilarious

An excerpt from said copypasta:
"I find the female Atronaches in The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion sexy. However, their body is made up of 87% fire"

And this is a line from the quest in game

I don't know, maybe it was an accident but I found it very funny

I wanted to say that in the PVE game, enemy NPCs are eliminated very freely.

You should have other options than deleting them.

    For example:

If you have weakened him in combat, have the option to capture him alive.

When you approach a bandit or cultist camp, you have the option of negotiating with the NPCs.

If our character has defeated several enemies, the enemy NPCs flee from the place out of fear of our character.

In the game they are eliminated as if they were mindless robots.

@netch_a_sketch Welcome to life among fantasy/sci-fi/role-playing fans on the 'net.

BTW, love that name! I wouldn't be surprised if I'm the only one here who gets the reference. I'm so old...

Ahah, thanks. Netches are my favourite fictional creature and I'm an artist so it's pretty much perfect for me!
    Also, I'm old too :P

Oh, I got it too.... My daughter (now in her 50s) had an Etch A Sketch as a child - she says now it's what led her into all the art media she's tried over her life, and definitely into art quilting.

Might be, it is a rather known of those type of copypastas related to Elder Scrolls. Might also be a writer thinking at least someone would try it once, because of the fire atronach's feminine humanoid shape. People do stuff like that in real life, but without magical creatures, so why not in Tamriel.
[Lie] Of course! I don't even worship Daedra!

Funny thing is, I'm only going on 28 on Halloween.

IIRC, I played my first CRPG at about your current age....

Useless info: Fire atronachs were male in TES3.

And didn't the tendency to include random flirting and bawdiness in ESO start back then (and peaking later in High Isle)?

nah, High Isle really went ham on it. There has been some innuendos and flirting throughout many chapters back. Blackwood was filled with stupid writing and constant repeatings.

To be honest I always wondered why they only kept a vaguely humanoid shape for the flame atros. I vaguely remember the other two having a similar shape in earlier games.

Fun fact: Flame Atronachs (as well as Fire Elementals in Arena and Daggerfall) were all male prior to Skyrim.

Wrong, actually, it changed between Morrowind:

    And Oblivion:

Although I'm not really sure if Daedra care much about genders.
