Giving interesting bonuses for fewer than 5 pieces might create options that mix better with mythic items and monster sets, two categories in which ZoS keeps inventing more stuff, and with ability-altering weapons as well.

I'm also liking the idea of 2 piece, 1 piece or maybe 3 piece sets myself. Having them consist of less than 5 pieces might open up more build possibilities, which will be interesting to play around with.
Not that I see it happening, but they could consist of 4 pieces too so that you could for example use a Mythic item, one 5 piece set, a Class Set and two Arena Weapons. I'd prefer 2 pieces though.
In any event, I'm wondering whether the Class Sets will be similar to the Ability Altering Weapons and buff one specific staple skill for each class, or if they will give another more generic buff that suits the class instead. Like would a Warden's DPS set effect Scorch in some way? Or would it simply increase Frost and Bleed damage by X% for each Warden ability slotted? Or will ZOS come up with really unique bonuses that play into the theme of each class? It'll be interesting for sure.

I think they should make 4 sets per class similarly to trial sets, 1 for magicka dps, 1 for stamina dps, 1 for healing and 1 for tanking. Some magicka and stamina playstyles differ a good bit, so having sets that cater towards specific playstyles would be fantastic.

Some might argue it's pay to win, but really - it's reasonable to assume that incentive to purchase newer content is justifiable. It's not a charity, afterall.
