Quick Slot Basics

I hope this helps. I had some basic questions on how to use Quickslots and this is the information I found.
Items in game such as Potions, Food, and Drinks (along with others) are slottable; which is to say they can be placed into one of eight available quick slots for easy access (during combat most notably). Once placed in a quick slot, you can use the item by pressing 'Q' after which there is a cool-down before you can use it again; you can also use one of the other 8 slottable items by holding down 'Q' and selecting it from the Quick Slot UI that appears.
To view items that are slottable click 'I' to bring up your inventory; then click in the upper right hand corner to select the Arrow icon which will show slottable items. While this screen is up if you press 'Q' the Quick Slot UI will appear where you can drag in slottable items from your inventory.
