Expanding Tribute to More NPCs

I'd love to see Tribute become an available option for more NPCs. A certain very popular fantasy RPG allows the player to enjoy its card game with different members of society, such as merchants and barkeeps, and I think that feels like a great way to make the game feel more common and accessible in the world. I'd like to believe that a Tribute option could be attached to NPCs with certain professions by default, making it simple to implement. Am I wrong?
