Selling gear after runs

So wanted to get the communities opinion.
So backstory: I was doing a PUG run of nCR and got gear someone needed. They offered a lot of gold for it, but I told him that no gold needed, take the gear.
Now I was once in a guild that had not a policy but a principle: you helped with our run, let us help you. This wasn’t with just our guild: it was with randoms we picked up too. And I guess to this day I still stuck to the belief.
Do you guys just trade gear after a run or do you sell it?

If someone offers gold for gear I let them give it to me but I never ask to be paid. Not even when I had kinras 100% drop when it was meta.

And you made that guy's day!

I generally offer up all my loot at the end of the run, without expecting any payment.

Some people really appreciate the help, which is great to see, but I'd never ask for anything.

The only valuable gear I got that I didn't need was BSW inferno, back when it was farmed to death. I gave it away, I always give my unneeded gear away. Only once that someone actually traded items with me and it was non-set blue gear, but I wasn't mad I didn't ask for anything. :D
I've never asked for a certain piece I needed either, I just always ended up farming until my thumbs hurt.

I don't do trials but in dungeons I will usually just give the gear people mentioned needing in chat at the start of the run to them at the end of the run.

When I am looking for specific pieces I always tip usually 1K per piece if I am just looking to complete the sticker book for the set or up to 100K if it was a set piece I badly wanted.

If I already have it in collections, it's free.

If I don't, it depends on if I think I'd feel used rather than helpful if I gave it away.

No, I never take money for gear I don't need anyways.

Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.

If someone makes it clear at the begining of a dungeon that they're looking for something specific im generally more than happy to save it if I happen to get it and it's not something I was farming specifically for myself.
I'm also always happy to offer any unbound/duplicates at the end of a run.
Unless the run was specifically a carry/sale I always just give it away. It's not like I need the gold for anything.

What I don't particularly like though, is someone preemptively whispers me for a stop I got after spying it in loot log.
I don't know why it bothers me so much, but like, even if they knew I got a specific drop but instead asked in group chat "LF [x item]" rather than a direct "can I have [x]" whisper it'd be better and I'd be more willing to give it away.

Everyone in the party helped to complete the run.

If there was a drop, it wasn't earned by one person.

Any drop should be freely distributed to whoever needs it.

If I've been farming something for a long time and RNG is giving me everything except the thing I need, I will usually tip whatever gold I have in my inventory.
