Armor and Weapon Sorting (request)

Jnutter819
I am looking for a mod that allows you to sort your weapons and armor based on their traits and whether you have researched them. Does anyone know of one, or failing that, know how to make one? Any help would be appreciated.

Or at least please let us sort by type... medium from light, jack from gauntlet from guards, etc. This also applies to sorting recipes from food in consumables please.

I agree. Sorting would be a huge plus, where's the skyui when we need it?
  • Jnutter819
While we're at it, how about sorting materials by skill?

Seriously, I don't know how they managed to release the inventory as is. I know if I were the one responsible for the inventory management system I'd be out of a job.

100% agree , need normal inventory management and filter options by type , class , researched , etc. items. I already hate excel inventory management wich this game forced me to use.
  • aborodacub17_ESO
This mod shows if you have researched a trait or not on an item. You still have to check for doubles of unresearched item traits if you want to clear out doubles of an item for space and resources. But it greatly speeds up the time of deciding whether to keep an item for research or not.

Cool, thanks. May be a n00b question, but how do I install that? The link lets you download, but doesn't tell you that.

thats the start ! thanks , now just to add bank checking filter for traits on already stashed items.
  • Jnutter819
Found in the comments of that: http://pastebin.com/2Jt8F0CK (replacement .lua that also shows yellow if more than one of a trait/type combination is in your bank/inventory).

Now we just need to be able to sort materials/consumables by skill. Also, it would be cool to have a mod that showed which three runes made a glyph.
  • Jnutter819
I also have had an item that I wished to know the style of, and I had to deconstruct it to be sure (though I looked at other places first) and I didn't get the style material, so I'm still uncertain. Could there be a mod that shows which style something is next to the slot and type in the tooltip?

I greatly desire this Add-On as well. The inventory system is the same horrid experience of Skyrim. I am at a loss as to why Bethesda felt this was acceptable to bring into ESO.

Additionally, a simple trait indication (eg. Defending (Known/Unknown) would be lovely so I can simply vendor/deconstruct the item.
  • Jnutter819
The trait indicator is available at http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info111-ResearchAssistant.html, and if you want it to also show whether you have more than one of a trat/type combination then you can replace the .lua with http://pastebin.com/2Jt8F0CK. I've also installed something that lets you see what is currently being researched without going to a crafting station: http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info131-ResearchTracker.html. I'm still looking for a style indicator, materials sorter, and glyph-to-rune translator, but this is a promising start.

Many thanks! These two add-ons appear very useful, and should eliminate my need for the 'item type sorter' add-on for now.

Yeah, figured they were good stopgaps if nothing else. Trying to teach myself this kind of modding so I can take care of the other problems. Will update as I make progress.

Also would like this, and the ability to sort/filter crafting materials by tradeskill.

Research Assistant has been updated and seems a lot better than last time I posted. Also, research tracker was out of date last I checked, but Wykkyd's Toolbar works fine and is less obtrusive. Also, the UESPlog addon (from the wiki at uesp.net) shows item style (e.g. Breton), has a less-sophisticated researched/not researched symbol (which I've disabled, since I have RA), has a chat command to list everything you're researching and how much time it has left, and for provisioning, colors additive names and shows a symbol (blue and purple), shows the recipe level for normal ingredients, and shows a checkmark or ? on recipes (all in similar places to RA) in addition to recording all sorts of data that you could use to help the wiki (though not personal data, more specifics on wiki). Its primary downside so far is that its options are all in chat commands (though /uesphelp lists them for you) and there isn't a menu for it in-game. There was also a bug when ZOS recently released the new facial animations, but the mod creator quickly patched it.
Anyway, those (and some map-related addons) are what I'm using now. If anyone has found an actual sorting mod, please let me know.

Circonian's SortIt is currently being maintained, and looks to do something like what you want.

There was an addon called Mr. Plow, but both the author and the last maintainer have left ESO, so it's out of date.

Randactyl's Quality Sort allows for sorting by quality.

And lastly, you should take a look at Advanced Filters, which doesn't sort the inventory, but does let you look only at, say, medium armor, or destruction staffs (or is it staves?), or blacksmithing materials, or fishing bait.
    Stonehenge ROCKS!
