Tales of Tribute bug occasionally does not allow player to use patron

I have occasionally encountered a bug while playing tales of tribute, where I was unable to select a patron despite having the requirements for selecting the patron.
Playing another card, such as a writ of coin, removes this restriction and subsequently I am able to use the patron. Of course, this is still problematic since sometimes there will not be a card to play, and the patron will be unplayable.
I think this circumstance happens right after psijic toss effects sometimes. I record some of my tales of tribute games and I will try to reproduce and record this bug and upload it here when I do.
