Nel's Hidden Loves won't complete

My character along with other people from the guild collected all the instruments for Nel's Hidden Love in Solitude. Character is Asano the Sage. He place all the instruments, but the quest still says to "read Nel's HIden Love,' which I have read and marked red multiple times. So I cannot finish this quest due to some glitch. Another odd thing: inside the Bard college I can clearly see the first lute found by going to the auction and following the steps. My character can examine it, yet in the achievement list, this first one is till unchecked.
Please help.
