On the PTS we could see the Kwama Miner's Kit style.
This is absolutely awesome! I love the kwama egg satchel on the back.

Here are some of the costumes and motifs related to everyday professions we already have:
  • Innkeeper
  • Blacksmith
  • Baker
  • Fisherfolk Work Wear
  • Gem Prospector
  • Logger
  • Royal Courier
  • Chef
  • Deepwoods Pod-Singer Tunic
  • Graht-Climber's Active Wear
  • NEW! Shroomtender outfit style

Could we have more motifs or costumes related to Tamriel specific professions that add a bit of flavour to each culture?

Here are some ideas for motifs/costumes (2 for each race):

EDIT: IVE ADDED LINKS TO ONES I'VE ALREADY DONE.
A: Lines
B: Dye Channel Mockup

Nords:
  • Merry Mead-Maker A B
With little golden Dibella Moth accents like the music box here and there. Only the finest mead that could make Shor blush!
  • Whiterun Farrier
Nord-themed around the stablemasters of Whiterun, they all need a good Skyforge-blessed farrier working their hooves!

Argonians:
  • Devoted Egg-Tender
Especially created to help those that keep watch over the little Argonian eggs and hatchlings around their Hist trees.
  • Kaj-Mota Swampstalker A B
This would be an asymmetrical combo of hunter and Argonian themed warrior gear. Pieced together with whatever a Great Hunter would need in order to fight the greatest and largest foes Black Marsh has to offer. Which includes small stone work attachments and tooth and bone accents. The Great Hunter would take on the largest and most intimidating of threats in order to either protect their villages or boast about their trophies and victories!

Bosmer:
  • Grahtwood Fisher Outfit
Bosmer themed fishing-attire, crocodile leather, fish-bone and mudcrab shell.
  • Bosmeri Fermento Attire
This is something an artisan of cultures and fermentation might wear. They might specialise into cultivating many fermentation starters in clay jars for use in Rotmeth, Cheese, anything that needs to be curdled. As well as finding new and interesting bacteria/ingredients and rotting things to create new flavours. A Smelly but delicious profession.

Imperial
  • Skingrad Greenskeeper
Colovian themed but with focus on their immaculate and intricate gardens, lovingly tended to. Topiary is a full-time Divines-blessed dedication.
  • Cyrod Scribe
This would be an Imperial city themed outfit, perhaps something young scribes or pages might wear for daily clerical duties. Some might even aspire to work in the Hall of Records themselves!

Altmer:
  • Alinor Ancestor Sculptor, Mason
Altmer themed wear inspired by the upkeep and fine work they do with masonry. Look as flourished and flawless as the quoin you are tasked to maintain!
  • Russafeld Winemaker, Vigneron A B
Practical yet elegant attire befitting the palette of a Mer who specialises in the purveyance of only the most exquisite vintages.

Breton:
  • Evermore Painter
This could match the Evermore Painter's Moth as inspiration, but ultimately attire that would be more suited for the utility needed for a traveling Breton artist.
  • Vastyr Ghillie Attire
This would be another hunter themed attire, but something a Breton would wear out in the field. Gillie or ghillie is an ancient Gaelic term for a person who acts as a servant or attendant on a fishing, hunting, deer stalking or hawking expedition, primarily in the Scottish Highlands or on a river such as the River Spey.

Khajiit:
  • Ja-Kha'jay Moon-Dancer
Inspired by ancient rites of dancing to the moons, emulating and celebrating the flowing and deliberate movements of Jone and Jode at the Moonsugar Festival. Telling tales with pendulous tails!
  • Bandaari Pepperer
A pepperer is someone who specialises in all kinds of culinary spices. This would be attire befitting a Khajiit with culinary interests and in the distribution of all kinds of spices you might find in Tamriel. Lots of colourful cloth, bells and rich aromas to catch customers! No illegal moon sugar, this one swears!

Redguard:
  • Taneth Tomb Guardian
Tu'whacca Blessed attire, themed around keeping their tombs and vaults sacrosanct.
  • Rihad No Shira Poet
Inspired by Redguards' delving into the history of the Yoku-verse. Typically most travel to regale others during Dirij Tereur from the Book of Circles. (No Shira means Noble, for those wondering)

Orsimer:
  • Shatul Echatere Herder
A fun and riveting profession of keeping those big woolly creatures safe and secure! Any clan member of Shatul can attest, their livestock is the best! (Includes sets of paint that they use for their echatere, with the paint being made with the distinctive color palette of the Shatul.)
  • Morkul Orichalc Smith
This would be an outfit more heavily focused on the advanced smithing techniques Orcs use in order to work with orichalcum. It would have intricate ebon adornments and patterns that venerate Malacath.

Your drawings are beautiful and I'd love more things like these. And the little descriptions you wrote, so good. I'd love to see the altmer winemaker one.

I also never know if these are better as costumes or motifs. In the past we've gotten a mix, for ex. the fisherman getup is a costume, the new upcoming kwama egg miner is a motif.

I definitely thing motifs are more popular. They also have more customization potential. I think the only downside is that outfit slots are expensive and not unlockable account wide... It's a huge reason why I almost personally prefer costumes over motifs despite them being ''worse.''

Oh thank you! I'll try draw the winemaker tomorrow.

Theyre just quick things I have in my head, they could definitely be far better and probably elaborated better word wise. Like make the Kaj Mota one lesss formal and more leathery and worn, use the word "blessed" a hell of a lot less and such.

I try to imagine them as seperate pieces but some might be better as a whole costume like the Merry Mead Maker when drawing. I also try to keep it to 4 dye channels if possible with some reasonable undyeable parts. And the idea of removing the helm space.

Same. I struggle sometimes between making something I really like in terms of outfit combinations versus what a costume can do for the character. Like dresses and such. But then some costumes I just wish I could dye some seperate slots as if they were motifs pieces. Like boots or gloves. Often end up with costumes as well because they convey the character better.

I love the more mundane parts of Tamriel. Always enjoy the costumes which are for everyday people and professions, and I often screenshot contraband with lore tidbits of the mundane life in various places of Tamriel I like. Wish we could use the stolen clothes as styles for outfits, and got more things like them, but themed to various races and cultures.

Love the addition of the medieval beekeeper basket mask. I once dressed as one for a costume party!

The Kaj-Mota Swampstalker is lovely too, but I love most things argonian.

I will look forward to see all of these if you will continue, especially the Shatul Echatere Herder, Devoted Egg-Tender, Cyrod Scribe, and both the bosmer ones <3

I agree! They make the world feel more alive. The stolen clutter and treasure is some of the best things they added in the game. Its small but it always adds flavour and depth. But I also wish they would add some of the clothes, like priest robes, as a costume at the very least.

Awesome! Now you are giving me ideas for Halloween.

Thank you! I will add you requests to a list! I'm looking forward to draw the Shatul herder myself.

Here is my approach to the Altmer Russafeld Winemaker or Vigneron. A Vigneron is someone a person who cultivates grapes for winemaking. (for anyone wondering.)

    Lines

    Colour mockup of dye channels:
    a2Q0MLN.jpg

    • I went for a comfortable and adjustable breezy approach.
    • With raglan/bell sleeves in order to comfortably work in the vineyard.
    • Lots of small gilded threads to adjust the fit.
    • As well as easy buckled shoes, just in case a Mer needs to get their feet into pressing some grapes.
    • The belt pouch and accessories are not really required.
    • The pants could probably have more adjustment.
All whilst looking like a gilded jewel.

The altmer fashion in particular is interesting to me because I think they're a really cool race with lots of potential, especially in ways that set them apart from the ''traditional high elves'' (ie Tolkienesque high elves). ESO needs to give them (a lot of races tbh) more attention.

I like the ESO Summerset chapter overall but some of their current ''racial clothes'' (costumes), I feel like, didn't really give them much identity, the 2 lower class dresses in particular.

Absolutely support all of this stuff. By far my favourite costumes in the game are "average" looking outfits rather than the ultra-special ones that only the God-Emperor General Supreme Commander of the Covenant would be caught dead wearing in the actual lore.

In love with the Altmer mockup made earlier in the thread too. Hopefully we get stuff along these lines in the future!
