Stamina bug is back

When I dismount my stamina drops to zero, my stamina recovery drops to zero and my magicka skills don't fire because they are trying to use resources from the stamina pool

the same here , furthemore the recover of the stamina don't work well , sometime the recover is stuck in some action that consume stamina even if i do nothing and stamina drop to zero

Just an idea: Are you using a frost staff on the other bar?
Having the passive skilled to consume magicka for blocking, or not?

I haven't noticed my stamina randomly disappearing on its own (or any connection to dismounting), but Magicka skills consuming stamina and failing to fire when my stamina is low is super frustrating (especially when it happens in BGs).

The only workaround I've found is to do nothing until I recover several thousand stamina. Trying to do anything else will generally result in nothing actually happening and my remaining stamina getting consumed.

Edit: Also, in my case a frost staff is not involved.

Does this on both my arcanists with the stamina tentacle slap, they try to cast but stop short. 1h and shield and resto staff, weapon type really does not matter.

Just curious, are you slotting Gifted Rider or War Mount CP green? It seems to only affect my newest characters who don't have high riding speed so I have them using Gifted Rider and War Mount slotted to make up the difference. It doesn't affect any of my other characters who don't have these CP stars.

This happens to me on PS EU alot, using lightning staff or ice staff. Haven't really played my dw character much lately to know on them

It's easy to replicate. Just sprint your stamina to 0 and try casting any magicka costing skill. Happens every time.

Quite annoying that's it's not in the patch notes.

Having this bug now. After a long ride, I dismount and my stamina drops way down. Quite annoying in Cyrodiil when I ride up to a fight then have no stam to use.

My stamina I notice will instantly drop when using one ability on a monster. I have full stamina build, armor, and stamina regain buffs. I agree this bug is back.

I had this happen specifically only on my Orc NB , PC NA, a few updates back. It seemed to be tied to the "War Mount" CP in my testing of it, while my character did not yet have Mount Stamina fully trained yet. all other characters were fine, but also all had full stamina training, so I couldn't test variables. But Id go full speed on my mount, dismount at location, and character stamina, not mount stamina, would drop instantly to zero.

Once it happened, I would seemingly have very low stamina recovery (on a character with normally 2000+ recovery), and a ramping cost of break free (I dont know what it cost off hand, but say it cost 4000 to break free, second time would cost 8000, third time 12000, and beyond that id not have any stamina to do anything but one could assume it would add the cost again.) . It was quite problematic in Cyrodiil and pretty much made me quit playing that character.

Bashing/dodge rolling seemed to fix the issue, but you need to regain stamina before you can do either of those things.

While this may or may not be related to your issue, this comment is really just to cement that there has been a lingering bug related to stamina/recovery/that War mount CP potentially, for quite some time.

By finding this thread i now realize i have this bug too,i started noticing it while pulling up to a fight in Cyro a while back and got immediately killed bc i didn’t have stam to roll dodge or heal myself 😅 always happens after dismounting.

It's as though War Mount actually drains stam from your character instead of not using stam at all, making War Mount completely useless (especially in Cyrodiil where you often hop off your mount directly into a fight).

I definitely have the bug without War Mount.

When it happens to me, I find it's when I haven't released shift. When I hold shift and then dismount, my stamina drains.

Happens on console too, when you ride up onto the porch in front of the keeps in Cyrodiil and it forces a dismount.

Its was never gone on ps5 na. it does affect gameplay

This exactly. And it always hit my templar. It MAY happen on another class but my magplar it WOULD happen.

the bug is still here, the result is that every fight is a fake , i can't roll dodge , sprint or cast magika becouse the stamina is stuck at 0 , but i'm sure that in the next patch they will fix hundred of bugs that noone reported... thanks a lot for your no-effort and no answers at all
