Midyear Mayhem is unplayable

I was excited yesterday when MYM started to be able to drop a Torte, use the scroll and continue my main PvP toon towards Rank 50

But sadly no, the PS-EU server response was worse than I’ve ever experienced (despite the April upgrade).

The load icons on Ravenwatch campaign entry showed 1/3 for both AD & DC and 0/3 for EP…no queue time - so not a full PvP capacity.

However, I had many, many freezes of >2 minutes where my only solution was ‘close application’ and re log…making (what should have been a fun event) unpleasant. And I wasn’t the only one. Zone chat was full of comments about how bad it was.

Plenty of other players did the same as me and gave up…went back into PVE area, where server performance actually worked.

Of the approx 60 minutes in MYM at least 45minutes were frozen or relogging.

PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP.

Oh don't worry they'll move it where no one will see it. Servers are shittinf the bed on xbox too. As bad as I've ever seen it in the last 5 years.

Were the PS and Xbox servers upgraded?

I thought the April upgrade was PC-EU only and Xbox/PS was coming later in the year.

The freezing is something introduced in Necrom patch. MM just before it was fine. Smooth even.

But on Xbox NA, people are randomly freezing. But it's a bug this patch causing it, not performance.

My money is on some arcanist skill or a new set doing it.

Xbox eu is the only megaserver that hasn't gotten new hardware.

i haven't had any trouble in cyrodiil during mayhem yet. though that could be because i am often online in the European night when there are less people

Playstation eu got upgraded a few weeks after PC eu, then Xbox NA a month later followed by playstation NA. Xbox eu server is the only one that hasn't been upgraded as of late

Even on PC EU, performance isn't good. It's playable, but quite unresponsive at times. Especially break-free and aim / range checks.

PC NA has more or less reached rhe level of performance we had before the server upgrade, just over a year ago.

Grayhost becomes completely unplayable often with only 4-6 bars of total population, same with blackreach.

It's as bad as I've ever seen it, and still no update on that "code rewrite" that was initially due at the end of 2022, but was then pushed back and should have released with necrom (as far as we're aware, it didn't).

I'm getting a lot of stuttering and seizing on the giant ad zergs on NA. On EU forget range and I will crash right to desktop which has never happened before this last update.

Can't speak for consoles but for PC hardware makes a huge difference. I went from R7 to R15 4090 and oh my good what a difference. Even in prime time it's playable. Disclosure I also have 1 GIG internet though

That's with 100% view distance at all times on ultra. I use to have it set to like 25.

This Mayhem seems less populated, so it was OK more or less on PCNA Grayhost yesterday in the early evening, though prime time might have been a different issue. No disconnects so far, just some lag during big fights, though I will agree that the improvements we saw post hardware refresh are all but gone.

It would also be cool if the game doesn't keep kicking me back to login screen.

I can't find any updates on the status of the code work commitment they made either. Are we still total radio silence on this issue then?

So, it’s got so bad the EU servers are now offline.

Coincidence? I think not.

This MUM event has been a complete disaster….the one ~2 months ago was playable, this simply isnt….
