So when Blackwood came out I posted
Mirri vs. Valaste, a very entertaining moment when Mirri's scripted responses briefly lined up perfectly with Valaste going insane in the final Mage's Guild quest (when you retake Eyevea) to make it sound like Mirri was steadily growing tired of Valaste and was not-so-subtly urging me to leave her behind. It was a glorious moment.
This time around, the focus is on Azandar. Azandar, you see, doesn't like riding. He doesn't hate it so much he starts hating you, but he complains every time you summon mounts and they go riding off. It's not horrible, but it does get a little tiresome after a while.
At least, it did. But then I assigned him the Hermitage Servitor mount, and the feel of the whole set of his comments around riding changes somewhat, because the Servitor is such a... strange... creature, that I no longer imagine Azandar being opposed to riding in general. No, now he just can't figure out how to properly ride this horrorshow from Apocrypha. It started with him randomly saying "How do you drive this thing?" which I thought made sense, considering he was trying to ride a creature horse-fashion, only it's neck was 98% mouth. And ever since then the context was Azandar looking at the thing and trying to figure out how to climb up on it, and then trying to figure out how to
steer it. And then, inevitably:
"Ow. Ow. Ow."
