[player] exploits/cheats for a month now, still playing without ban

[snip] He's very hard to kill - but thats acceptable. What isn't acceptable is the means at which he obtains it in the first place. Countless people have reported him for a month now. A couple days ago my raid of 24+ all mass reported him. Yet he still runs around out here. Apparently there are a couple videos of him doing this floating around too - apparently also they have been submitted. Zos ever going to do something about this or do we just need to start indoctrinating new gen players to this is the way things are?

No idea who you're referring to, but has anyone actually submitted evidence when they reported him? Every successful pvper has been repeatedly turned in for cheating, and some of them undoubtedly have been cheating, but ZOS probably won't do anything without evidence. I suspect no one at ZOS will spend time looking for evidence of cheating, so if the player doesn't trigger an anti-cheat script, and no one provides solid evidence of cheating, nothing will happen.

When something is Apparently the case it is nothing more than mere rumor.

While we cannot comment on what this person is doing since we do not know, it is best to submit actual information to Zenimax including SS of something happening. We can also submit videos of player actions via the email reply from Zenimax. Pretty sure all platforms can capture video of gameplay. I have a keybinding to capture the last 5 minutes of gameplay and it is simple to do.

Submit a report ticket to customer support with screenshots and or a video clip attached of the player who's cheating.

Also I block those players who cheat in games. Cheating is not fair to either team when it comes to pvp.

If you send a video file to customer support, they will tell you that they can't open it for security reasons or whatever. You have to send them a link to a video. So you need a youtube channel or something.

Also you will have to make the video private, so not everyone can see it, or it will be naming and shaming and you will get in trouble. If you make the video public, you will have to get rid of the names in the video somehow.

Also you can't write a full report in game, because there is not enough space for a full sentence. So you have to write emails with customer support for a few days or weeks, until they tell you that they maybe will tell someone else about it.

After a while, when you realise that nobody is looking at your videos (you can see how many people look at your videos with the help of google analytics), and the problems you are reporting stay in the game for years, it is easy to lose hope, give up and not report anything anymore.

I never reported a player for cheating, so i am not 100% sure how it works. I have never seen anyone obviously cheating on Playstation. There are some bug exploiters, spies and sometimes there are some extremely suspect players, but that's it. Oh and bots, a lot of bots... All i know is that massreporting is being exploited by some salty players and their friends in PvP, who think they are way better players than they really are.

So no, i don't think "it is simple to do". At least not for some players who just want to play the game. The whole system for reporting problems in the game could use an update. Especially the part where everything takes forever and almost nothing gets fixed. Maybe that will change in quartal 3 when they want to focus more on quality of life stuff and bug fixes.

If no one reports players for cheating, how is it surprising they don't get banned?

    Start by reporting.

Hi all. Just wanted to chime in here. If you can provide the ticket numbers from any of the reports, we can check with our teams to see where these are and if there is any additional information needed. But please know the more reports, the easier it makes our job when trying to find patterns of abusing systems.

This, as well as getting any recording of the player in to ZoS thru DMs or support with a youtube link. Uploading videos just seems to not work with the support system.

We are never sure that the player is cheating. How to be sure? That's why no one reports. I reported "hack speed" several times, never back...

Get evidence and post a private video send it through support anything less is essentially just abusing the report system by mass reporting without any actual proof

You don't have to be sure, that's ZOS' job. Ours is to submit evidence that we think shows cheating and let ZOS decide.

Also, from a message I had from @ZOS_Kevin

"Also when you are in-game, if you put in a report near where the exploiting event happened, we can use that to better pinpoint bad actors in the area when we go to investigate. So please make sure to use the report function in-game as well."

I know it can be risky business to do a report sitting next to a keep or outpost, but it could prove worthwhile.
