Group Duels

Something that would be fun to add in the game would be group duels. Just as you can duel a single player make an option to invite another group to a duel. Maybe a cap, so we don't have ballgroups lagging the map? If that wouldnt bring lag to the everyone else i would be fine with no cap so ballgroups can have their fun aswell.

Sure. As long as it's only in Cyrodiil. I can't imagine how awful it would be to have 20 or 30 group duelers in towns and at wayshrines.... Well, I CAN imagine it actually, and no thank you.

    Greetings,

After further review we have decided to move this thread to a category we think is more appropriate for this topic, as it's about dueling.

    Thank you for your understanding

Give them their own maps like Battlegrounds and like the previous poster said keep them completely out of PVE areas.

No one doing group duels would duel in towns (bad performance), and limiting group duels to Cyrodiil would completely defeat the point of Group Duels as that means that groups would still be faction locked.

I would very much like to see group dueling come to the elder scrolls. Pvp being the main portion of my game time I use dueling to test builds and understand rotation. It would be an amazing tool to better equip myself and my guild for group battles in cyrodil

Hammerdeath Arena and the Kvatch arena not being places for group duels is so much wasted potential.

Yes. Instanced combat, hopefully via housing with customizable options. If not, a whole arena instance that's also customizable. The idea is to NOT have ques or some kind of random matchup. I would pay crowns for a house that allowed custom XvX duels.

Just in Cyrodiil completely defeats the purpose of group duels since you can basically already do that in Cyro now.
They could probably make it so you could only do it in specific spots, like Arenas or in player houses.

Please bring group duels to eso. Just some days ago I was playing with 3 friends and we wanted to try out few setups for gvg but since we are in same alliance we couldnt. Would be nice for practice and testing of different setups.

Ok with gvg but keep it out of pve areas lag is bad enough with 1v1in pve areas

    2 things:

    1) a 1v1 isn't going to cause any lag, like at all. The biggest offenders of lag are large groups of players, and more specifically, stacking as many buffs as they can with as many HoTs rolling as they can. AKA - ball groups and Trial Groups (with the latter really only affecting themselves within the instance).

    2) No one that PvPs even semi-seriously would want to fight in a populated PvE area. Not only would it completely take Necromancer and Vampires off the list of usable skills (lest you have guards third partying the fight), but they want an area clear of other players way more than you want an area clear of PvPers - there's way too much lag in cities (see the first point about large amounts of players).

i think player houses would be good, as the largest houses support 24 players

the alternative would be allowing a full 12 person group to queue for a BG (since a BG needs 12 people and it could randomly divide out the teams)

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

I like the 12 man group queue idea, thought about it myself. We have been queuing solo while Cyro been unplayable.

As a proud member of the Daggerfall Covenant, I want to raid Mournhold then kill every player and take all the guild trader loot. Thank you and have a nice day.

The PvP home should be tweaked for this kind of thing. That provides the best answer as it would give the OP what they want and give Zenimax a reason to make it happen. Sheer genius.

Private bg map would be great for guild events

Just make a duel finder like a bg finder. Also make dueal arenas, and MMR.

    Basically 1v1 battlegrounds.

Also you can add variants like 3v3. Team with 2 wins wins the event.

Seriously its really easy to make good duel instance with nice rewards.
